Oh dear. I shouldn't have watched this in work.
I don't know why but I love over the phone pranks/jokes/etc, even if they're a little juvenile sometimes.
I used to really enjoy this youtube channel called idump4u. Basically this guy would charge $10 and he'd call your significant other for you and break up with them for you over the phone. He would get the reasons why you're breaking up with them from you in advance via email, and he would parlay the information.
Edit: I'm listening through your linked video. This is just great, mainly because of the voice/sound effects being so spot on. Lost it at 5:50
soo one of the comments in OP's video:
is that true? the cynic in me is inclined to believe so...
lol
One of my personal favorite ones was a Shenmue prank call, where they just use sound clips from Shenmue

"The genesis?"
"no the one after that, the super Nintendo"
Not to argue about it, but I know the law for recording a call for, say, a lawsuit, is that you only need one side's consent, but I can't find anything conclusive about the legalities of broadcasting a recorded call to the public. There are several sources saying the F.C.C. does not allow this:
But I'm no lawyer nor do I live in the US so I'm not certain how this would apply.
I love these too. I feel like there's a bit of an art to them since they record the people live and have to have good timing and judgement for playing the clips back.
If anything, that's what I've taken from this whole ordeal lol. That John Cena song is hype.
