Ebay insanity has started

lmfao @ how low yours is, with all the added shit

LOL :lol

I don't know what it is. My auction is clearly a better value than any of the other ones. Why pay $900 for a premium system when you can get a premium system with a game, and every modern nintendo console/handheld WITH games all in my one auction!! I even threw in the every10minutes t-shirts and caps!

I think the majority of bidding in an eBay auction happens within the last 5 hours. Maybe it's because I told them I only accept postal money orders as payment. I think I'll add the option of pickup as well.

EDIT: They aren't even crap games. Ikaruga and Resident Evil 4 are in the package for crying out loud! =P

i'm biddin on this bad boy!

no, thank you.. this is an amazing deal. i hope it holds up. prolly get outbid though. i can't afford to bid any higher than i am now. but if someone does, they are getting a helluva deal!

I put two on ebay. I am actually surprised at how well these are selling on ebay. I was fortunate enough to find one at Wal-Mart during my lunch break today. The other one I have coming from dell.com.

I lost close to $100 selling the xbox when it came out a few years ago, so I didn't think I would make much selling the 360, hence me only buying one prior to today. I am really kicking myself now. I will still make a good profit though.

I will be ready for the PS3. I made close to $5000 selling PS2's. Muahaha!!!

i really like my xbox360, but i cant turn down instant profit in the hundreds.

how much are "like new" 360 premiums going for? think i could do a $800 buy it now?

pftj ust clear everything and sell it as new, lol.

Hmm.. This is pretty good. I wish I had some money and went after some with my brother. By the end of this thing, I could have had $400 in my pocket and the system. Solves both problems.

this can't be real. i really need some $$. the sellers here, report back and tell me if someone really was stupid enough to buy your 360s for you guys to get such a nice profit!

Check out my auction.

I say it's the best value because you can recover your money by selling my old Nintendo systems. :lol

Everything that you're selling is worth a lot more than your current bid. I'd take it id I had the money to.

Goin up tonight ;)

People need to stop being amazed at these sort of eBay pages. Don't they know how eBay works? If the winning bidder has 0 feedback and/or is "not a registered user" [any more] then it 99% of time time means nobody is paying for anything and it was all a waste of time. Who fucking cares, in other words, it was all bullshit. If someone already said this, then sorry for repeating.

By the way I know someone who actually sold an Xbox 360 for $1400 today. No shit. :lol

This is very true. These insane prices are nice and all.. but nothing beats the ridiculous prices for EMAIL ADDRESSES!

Even with the power of Owl you don't seem to have mad much luck. :lol

It looks like alot of it was just the initial buzz of launch day (and the large amount of fony bidders with no intent to pay making it look more crazy than it was). I'd be suprised how many of those $1000+ are legit people actually prepared to pay.

bidding seems to have calmed a bit, but i still see a few go for over 1,000. if i can get twice what i paid, i'll be happy.

Yeah, noticed that this morning.
I'm thinking we won't see prices that high ever again

i'm still seeing a bunch end around 900. and most of the country is just waking up.

so i'm not expecting 1000+

prices are dropping pretty hard, i'm seeing some premiums end at 700.

i pulled my auction, i'll see how things go. i might just keep it.

put them up on friday after everyone goes out and tries to find one during their regular black friday shopping, i bet this weekend will net you a killing.

The prices dropped all day long... Cores are going for 500-600 now. Mine didn't end up selling because my reserve was too high (I set it in the frenzy of last night), but the bidding ended up very high for a Core. Just over 700! Although I should note a paid through the ass in eBay listing fees, I figured I had to make it stand out in order to get the best price (guess I was sort of right). Now I'm not sure if I should relist or go with Craig's List or something.

Also of note, I got a nice message sent to me before my auction was over
who i am does not matter, and you need not respond to this email, but the bottom line is this, if you sell this system for your reserve price, you WILL be claiming the profits on your tax returns, you can say what you want and complain all you want, but you WILL pay your fair share. do not even attempt to respond with a threat, it will not make a difference. if you have any problems with this you will direct ALL correspondence to the Dept of the Treasury.

have a nice day

I set my reserve to high as well. But right away after my auction failed, I put it up on Half.com and it sold about 2 hrs later for my reserve. I have to pay some comission but thats fine. That message is damn creepy, but If the IRS could find out and get you no problem, I doubt they would waste time telling you they could do it. They would let you make the mistake and bust your ass. That sounds like a jackass, likely the person who got the high bid but not the system because of your reserve.

I'm not sweating that guy- he wasn't a high bidder on my Xbox becasue he sent that well before the auction was over. Although that does bring up an interesting point that I hadn't thought about, do people report on things they've sold on eBay?

My auction is ending around Midnight on Friday. I'm hoping there will be tons of frustrated people that couldnt find one that day. Oh, and reserves suck. I never use them. Its much more exciting when ebay is a gamble.

Yeah- as things settle down over on eBay (I read a story that said 30,000 were on the site) I wonder if prices will start to creep back up.

just got lucky and sold my Core(with O RLY owl) for 620 when most are going for 500 or below. I'm hoping frustrated parents bring prices back up so i can get 600 for my girlfriends 360 that ends saturday morning.

NEVER underestimate the power of O RLY owl! :lol

I imagine the prices will go up right near christmas when people start to get desperate if they cant find one. The last day(s) you can guarantee a shipment to arrive before christmas will see huge price jumps again IMO.

Yeah Its down to below 10,000 or so now. Thats why I put mine as a 3 day listing yesterday. I knew everyone and their dog was going to do a 1-day. By Friday there will be ALOT less. Which will be good for me.

Right, but how many of those sold? I saw quite a few that went without selling, like mine. Some even had zero bids.

I was debating for a long time about whether I should wait until the week before Christmas or sell it ASAP. But when I saw the prices last night I just had to join in. I wish there could be some way to look at the data on eBay from the PS2 launch. I'd really like to see launch week vs Christmas week sale prices.

The trick is just not being greedy. Don't set a reserve. Set a "Buy It Now" price that is $50 below the current going rate. Anybody that had their auction at "$700-800 Buy It Now" could've walked away with an easy sale....

Sold one of my Premiums this afternoon for over $1100 on eBay. I've already received payment.

Just to give you an idea of the type of people paying these prices, the buyer is a grandmother buying the system for her grandkids... for Christmas! She didn't need it now; she even told me not to ship for another week because they would be in town and she didn't want UPS/FedEx to ruin the surprise. LOL.

She was so unbelievably sweet, though.
