EDGE: Sony’s VR tech will be revealed at GDC

Don't take that Forbes Contributor article at face value, y'all. Those stories are literally blog posts by random internet folk.

When Shu asked how many people were coming to the GDC conference, someone replied "That's virtually impossible."

Then Shu started... laughing... out loud.

OK ...this really is VR ... or Shu is the biggest troll ever! I hope its the former!!!! I mean so many of his tweets are winks, lols and smileys from him when hinted at VR.

Will Gaf go down if VR is announced for real? I want to stick around to read the reactions if it happens

Yeah this could very well be some random click bait. But what if, WHAT IF, he jumped the gun based on embargoed information that is already doing the rounds amongst the press?

I'm trying, and failing to keep my hype in check.

I've been waiting for over 20 years for VR to really happen. To think it could happen on my PS4 this year is an amazing thought.

Ideas for cool VR games

Virtua Tennis (first person tennis with Move controls)
Drive Club (cockpit view, with insane lighting affects)
Elder Scrolls Skrim
Until Dawn (First PErson Move game)
Daylight (First Person horror game)

This is true, far too much info upto this point for it not to be, Edge dont get much wrong.

I think Sony waited till they had something (games) to show with it and you gotta feel this has DriveClub written aaaallllll over it.....

Guys, any bets on > 4GB GDDR5??
No, unless they want another $600 clusterfuck. And I know some people think Sony are going to be super pro-consumer, but seriously, they might phrase it nicer, but they are going to implement DRM, they have no choice, all the power is with the publishers, and there's is NOTHING Sony can do about it.

At this point I don't care about VR, the only megaton I want from Sony is to have a unified worldwide Playstation Store not managed by Grace Chen. That and a single submission process for games, so developers don't have to do three times the paperwork and go through their hellish ridiculous QA process three separate times.

The question is: "Will they use GDDR5? Or DDR3?". I happen to know that GDDR5 RAM is very expensive. 8 GB? Maybe DDR3. GDDR5 8 GB? No way!

If Sony is using GDDR5, then they fucked up, I mean latency...everyone fucking knows about it.
