It's hard to judge the gameplay since From Software has shown very little but the game definitely shows promise. Like I previously said, If they're able to achieve seamless gamesplay/cutscenes/quick time events on top of competent gameplay then the game has the possibility to be something special.

As for anyone in this thread who hasn't been following Naruto for PS3:

I don't follow CyberConnect 2, but from what my friend says, they're totally awesome, and apparently responsible for the dotHack games. Personally, I never really cared for anime games, but I think this'll be my first anime game in the longest time![]()
demo was hawt.

Combat looked incredibly slow and clunky compared to other actions games from what we've seen.harSon said:From has several months to iron out the wrinkles. Graphically, it's already there. But then again, its Treasure :/

Bleach Wii at number 5 is a surprise!
Or they have no reason to waste time playing it at a trade show when they have it in their office like the rest of the gaming media.AAK said:I guess EDGE wasn't really impressed by LBP.
As Tokyo Games Show wraps up for another year, Edge looks at the 20 Japanese games that we feel represent what's best about Japanese development right now. Here are our favorite games of the show...

Monster Hunter 3 is going to sell lots of copies in Japan. Morbid bucketloads of copies. It's going to be, quite frankly, kind of sick. I will not, however, let this stop me from complaining about it: it plays and looks exactly like the PSP versions, the interface is still clunky as hell, and the motion controls feel jerky at best. Basically, you swing the remote to pull out your weapon, and varying levels of attack are activated by holding the controller at a specific angle while pressing a button. I've praised Monster Hunter over the years because of the scary-deep level of potential I glimpse on its surface, though Capcom is now treating it the way Koei treats Dynasty Warriors, and I'm afraid it's officially up to other developers (Sega, et al) to pick up on the virtues of this kind of game design. I mean, it's Monster Hunter where the only local multiplayer requires you to share a screen, and it's a Wii game with projectile weapons that you have to aim with the analog stick. I mean, seriously. Either way: hooray for money.
However, [Phantasy Star Zero] only features local multiplayer. I wondered for a bit why they would have a silent chat option in a local multiplayer game; then, on the train home, there was a group of schoolboys playing Monster Hunter, screaming like chickens. Aha.

Reading just one of the entries for any of the games reads like a fucking forum post :/Kilrogg said:So, the intro reads:
And then, here comes MH3 at #3. Surely they must have something good to say about it!
wat
And to end with "Either way: hooray for money" to boot! This reads like your average forum post. I strongly question the author's ability to abide by the rules he set in the introduction. If he feels MH3 feels more of the same, has lots of faults and is barely saved by the fact that he liked the previous iterations, then why on earth did he put it in the top 3 of a list that's supposed to "represent what's best about Japanese development right now".
Gaming journalism already has poor standards if you ask me, but this article goes beyond that. Shameful.

At least when his garbage was on Next-Gen we wouldn't get a tranny surprise.
Why not ? New IP, looks good and was playable....
