You can't call yourself a Star Wars fan if you hated 3.
George Lucas answered all the complaints the first two prequels had. The movie [still has] great CGI, better writing, and added alot to the Star Wars universe.
Noooope

Same! I was ready to dislike it, but it was actually pretty good. The plot is a bit messy, full of cliches, it should've shut up about it's themes, but it was really besutiful. There were just a ton of ideas and details with the city and the characters that it was enjoyable to just absorb it all and gave it a surprising amount of humanity.I actually liked the American Ghost in the Shell movie.
*runs away to hide*
For some unexplainable reason I've heard unsubstantiated rumors that some people don't consider Kung Pow: Enter the Fist one of the best movies every made, which, clearly, it is.
Death to Smoochy

Last Action Hero.
Warcraft
Speed Racer (though my love has finished over the years)
I'm not sure how folks feel about Cloverfield, but I love it.
Spring Breakers is a good one.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is largely considered one of the weakest films but I think it's one of the best.
Gotta say, Thor 2. A lot of people make jokes about it here, but I enjoy it.
This and Superman Returns. They both are character study films with very deliberate pacing for characters primarily known for punching things.Ang Lee's Hulk
Took what on the surface is a stupid brain dead character and actually added some complexity and emotional conflict, also has a great score by Danny Elfman
Spring Breakers (5.3 on imdb). One of the best crime dramas of the decade.
I love Joe Carnahan's The A-Team.
Speed Racer.
Lone Ranger.
Crystal Skull. Maybe not "love it" but I damn sure don't hate it.
YES.
For one not mentioned yet:

It's a fantastic movie.

I think The Cable Guy is genius.
I think The Life Aquatic is one of the greatest films of all time.
One day I hope to get the energy to write up a thread on it.
Its always been Wes Anderson's best movie. I love it so fucking much,I think The Life Aquatic is one of the greatest films of all time.

Love it! Weird physics in London, Greenwich Naval College as the target for weird aliens led by Chris Eccleston as a kind of evil Doctor Who.
One of my favourite Marvel films, if only because of the way Loki drapes his lovely form all over the place.
But actually: no.
That was a fabulously popular film. This thread is about films nearly everybody hated, but you liked.
The Gambler (Marky Mark version)
Judging by this thread, there is no right answer. Everyone has opinions and anecdotal experiences. Everyone I've met shits on Thor 2 and its even a running gag here. For every post there is a response of, "no not really."
Van Helsing. It's goofy, campy fun with some great action sequences and some terrible CGI. I would have loved for it to become a series.
Van Helsing.
It's cheesy as hell and I love it
Miami Vice - Visual and aural aesthetic masterpiece and culmination of the style Michael Mann was developing since Thief. This film is practically the Terrence Malick of crime cinema.
I think that's a pretty well received movie. Dirty Work & Death to Smoochy on the other hand are pretty polarizing.
Speed Racer will get the appreciation it deserves one day.

I think a lot of people like this movie, but I absolutely love this movie, and critics definitely seemed to hate it when it came out. I love it for a few reasons, it's a really good satire about fascism, it's one of the best sci-fi war movies ever made, and, although it takes place in a fascist utopia, it's incredibly progressive for its time. I mean, a war movie where women have a presence in every facet of war, from army grunt to naval command, it was mind blowing at the time.
Whilst skewered by critics at the time, there are tonnes of smart folk that see the greatness of Hook.
I think The Cable Guy is genius.

But I would rank Moonrise Kingdom as his best since that came out now.
I think bandits starring Billy Bob thorton and Bruce Willis is one of the great movies.
Push - A cool little sci-fi flick with a great cast, a really well drawn world with some great use of the locale(Hong Kong), it is the best X-Men movie we've gotten thus far.
It was actually pretty harshly received(currently sits at 23% on RT, with an audience score of only 42%). It still confuses me to this day, I would take Push over the majority of superhero films out there.Maybe I'm crazy but I don't remember this being hated, just that nobody gave a shit. I loved it when I first saw it and I wonder how well it holds up now. And a street-level superhero shadow government pseudo-heist thing feels so much more like what would be produced in modern day superhero tv.
-Battleship: It's basically what Transformers should be. Likable cast, action, well paced, etc. Nothing is great outside the water effects.
-Tomorrowland: Even the ending, I enjoyed. It has a certain charm to it, you don't find in movies much anymore.
i was going to post this but I see other people clearly have great taste.
also, that's a lot of nuts.
Hands down, Kung Pow.
My phone notification is "Wheeoowheeoowheee" and has been for years.
My ringtone is the taco bell song and has been for years (both my own recordings reused on every phone I've had).
I quote it daily and recite the bungee cord joke whenever necessary.
Anyone who dislikes it is badong.
And my favorite gaf poster is Betty and he knows why.
Cruel Intentions was actually a masterpiece.
