Played this with my older brother ALL THE TIME

Oh god, nostalgia hitted me hard on this. Played it so much back in the day too. I always thought that robot looked a lot like ET.

Did anyone ever actually catch Carmen Sandiego? I remember playing the US one, and every time you'd get close to putting away all the henchmen there'd be a jailbreak and they'd all go free again...

Is there anyway to play the zombinis on a modern rig? I still have that game and I would love to go back to it for some nostalgic moments :P

Also I used to love the Adiboo series as a Kid, I have no idea if they're well known, but around here they were played by almost everyone I know.

Holy hell YES this! And Math Blaster! My all time favorite:

Dr. Quandary

I never knew the difference between characters, :lol. Didn't understand the names at all.

Theres like two other I remember but can't place the name, one was a mac game that had a menu screen with like eight different options with weird ass geometrical shape characters that did puzzles, and the other was sort of like a choices/consequences game that ran on a green screen computer. Probably not very helpful.

To be honest I don't remember playing any other educational games except for Math Blaster in school... I'm pretty sure there was a Hangman game too.

Only other weird games I played was when my aunt brought me a NES "educational religious game" (I have no idea of the title), but it had you going around on a camel and collecting frankincense and myrrh lol.

Also, some game about a salmon's life. You had to answer questions about salmon correctly to have a successful life, and at the end some annoying people would shout "Come on salmon you can do it put a little power to it!"

Also, Sim Earth but I never really figured it out.

Pretty much all of the Humungous Entertainment games. Its a shame they're pretty much defunct.

OH MY GOD!

Came here to say Magic Schoolbus PC games, and "some maths based platformer that I have no idea what it was called"... And that's it!!! I've been trying to find out what that was for so many years!

Thank you!

Not sure it was a good game but played through this like 3 times as a kid. Liked the music alot too
Same, I don't remember beating it but I played it a lot. Didn't really play many educational games. This is the only one I remember.

Just remembered this:

Anyone else play this game? It was amazing. The feeling you got from seeing the town park slowly become beautiful as you save up money was really good... Maybe this game is why I always save most of my money nowadays, lol

Rocky's Boots. Also Robot Odyssey, although that was more of a straight game than edutainment.

I forgot the name but it was this cartoony underwater fish game. I only had the demo and was pissed off that I didn't have the full game

oh my god....the memories.

There are quite a few of the games posted in this thread I remember playing and liking, but I don't remember what they were about or what I've learned from them :lol

They didn't have educational software when I was a kid but when my kids played them some of the ones I really liked playing with them were the following:

Quarky and Quasoo's Turbo Science
C.Y.P.H.E.R. Operation Wildlife
Gizmos and Gadgets
Mission T.H.I.N.K.
