You have to wait for trains to arrive when you are travelling somewhere.
There is no map, so you have to go to information kiosks and ask people directions to find out where you are supposed to go. This is not just for new locations. The main character is so stupid that he does not know how to get to his girlfriend's house or his aunt's house.
He said he completed a sidequest and was not told who to turn the quest in to, so he had to run around the train station questioning random NPCs to find the person to complete the quest.
ALL the editors seemed to agree that the entire game could be finished in 1 sitting. Sidequests will extend play somewhat, but make little difference in terms of actually upgrading/progressing your character.
Everyone did agree however, that the game is actually pretty fun when you are involved in the real gameplay sections and not trying to navigate a tedious overworld.
Jesus, in one day this game has quickly declined from day 1 purchase to me barely wanting to play it. The fact that the AI/difficulty gets easier as the game advances, the brevity of the single player, the lameness of multiplayer, and the flashbacks to "do you know the way to Wan Chai?" have just cut the balls off from under my hype. Someone, ANYONE, say something good really good about...please?
