Yeah, my mom and her two friends dragged me along one night in late October 1988 to go see it. I forgot the other horror movie we saw that day. Could have been Return of the Living Dead 2.

I do remember the theater (In Dearborn, MI) oddly enough but its been closed for 20+ years now

Movie's still great as it was pretty much a parody to begin with. It's on Hulu last I checked a few days ago.

Watching it again now. Elvira is good in this, pretty funny. Very 80's though. Laughed so hard at the boys risking their lives for a blurry polaroid of side boob when today you have hardcore porn on your phone. They were so happy with a picture LOL.

A movie like this could never make sense in todays times.

And just finished it. The Flash dance sequence was funny, and even more of a parody today then it was back then. Then Elvira basically gives the town folks ecstacy which I am 100% sure my younger brain didn't understand. The ending was cheesy and I am sure George Lucas was thinking about suing someone LOL and then it ends with a music video and rapping Elvira. Now I am not sure if that was supposed to be a parody (of Material girl ??)or it was an actual seriouse attempt at a pop career but it was hilarious.

My aunt (Grandmothers Sister) was actually her Housekeeper/Maid for about 10 years, this was way back in the 80's i'm sure she probably has some stories to tell just never got around to it as she lives in another state now.
