I was hoping the show this would be a compelling family drama akin to Kingdom, but I think that ship sailed when Luscious uttered that cringey line of friendship and how only bullets get in between them, right before he merked Bunk. It's whatever though.

Involving Obama and referencing Trayvon Martin may seem topical and such, but I think this show is really missing the mark.

By the way, what is up with the constant use of background music? There is nary a scene of just plain, meaningful dialogue between characters that isn't offset by obstrusive background music.
