epic mickey gameplay trailer - how epic ? so epic

Looks good.

Yeah, really looking forward to playing this. It really came along. I've got to say I wasn't overly impressed by the earlier media, but they have me now.

I'm having a difficult time getting excited for this. It's a Warren Spector project, which excites me, but the themes and concepts of the game really do not.

Agreed. I just..I don't know - the concept is neat but there's just something about it that doesn't jive with me.

Looks good, as expected. So this is planned for a December release in the US? I remember it being pushed back towards the end of the year, which will be perfect timing for me since not much else is out around then. I'm on board.

Sega Dreamcast port plz

How so? Not arguing, just curious (and I note that I'm talking about the underlying ideas, not their in-game execution, which is more debatable).

That trailer is SMOKING!!

Fri 26 Nov for UK / EU PAL land

The official thread title, better use Epic as much as possible.

The Epic Mickey Epic Thread of Epically Epic Game or something

Though I never thought it was more than a placeholder, thank god they didn't go with the ink-ears as the final box. Much much much too dull.

Twice?
Was it for the same thing?
Wouldn't you have learned the first time?

Nope, not for exactly the same thing.
First time was for hoping that the game would be released on a specific console. The second time was for thinking the game would be released on a specific console.

I hope the game gets released for....

BANNED

I think the game gets released for...

BANNED

It went something like that.

This trailer gives me a Mario Sunshine vide way more than the others ... don't know why

also, plutopia gave me memories =D

spiritual sequel to mario sunshine confirmed....

cautiously optimistic. What is the general structure of the game? Is it like the 3-D platformer adventure games of the 64 era?

Kind of, yeah.
There's mix of some RPG abilities as well, I believe.

Sorta, yep. There are hub worlds where you can talk to people and get fetch quests and other missions and buy stuff. From those you can enter small 2D levels that take you to the 3D levels, where you explore open worlds looking for items and completing objectives the good way or the asshole way. Depending on how you solve stuff you are locked out of certain items (while getting some others that you can't the other way) and the hub worlds are affected by your actions.

It's shocking to be excited for a third party Wii game, but here we goooo
Sonic Colours has me amped too.

I'm /this/ close to pulling the Wii trigger. It's only $210 CAD now with M+ and both WiiSports games.

Patiently awaiting reviews for this and Sonic.

There's the Mario bundle coming now as well.

How am I supposed to keep my hype for this down when it keeps being hyped as the next Kingdom Hearts (which I never got the luck to play).

Really can't wait for this. Probably my only Wii purchase this holiday season.

And I think it will sell very well. Maybe not on the trajectory of the hardcore 3rd party success, but will do very well just the same.

I have a feeling this game is gonna be really overlooked

I don't think it will get overlooked in the marketplace. It's basically a perfect fit for the Wii.

I think it will get overlooked on GAF and by the enthusiast media though. Mainly because it's on the Wii.

From what I've seen it's out everywhere else in Europe, so I'm guessing it'll be up within an hour, or maybe tomorrow. Just keep checking this link.

Thanks.
BTW, it tells me I dont have itunes, when I even have the latest version. Its that a problem or its normal because the app does not exist?

It should open iTunes and say that the app is not available, but not that. Try clicking with iTunes already open, maybe?

Based on this "gameplay" trailer I have next to no idea what the gameplay will be like.

This!

I know about the pain mechanics, but other than that, the trailer really doesn't show anything. It's just a bunch of random cuts to something happening, but you just don't know what that something is.

The graphics are very impressive though.
