I just split my heel against some metal post under a bed. I can clearly separate two pieces of flesh and it looks pretty disgusting. For some reason, i got the bleeding to stop pretty quickly and easily. I put some sort of cut cream on it for now and im just lying around.

My question is - is there any reason why i'd have to have it stitched up besides the fact that it could bleed? Is it a bad idea to wait a day before getting it stitched up?
