We are excited that MVP 06 was chosen to roll out the ESPN integration in a way that will completely redefine the gaming experience. Featuring a live ESPN Ticker recognizable from TV broadcasts, ESPN Radio Sportscenter updates every 20 minutes and news from ESPN.com, you'll stay completely up to date in the world of sports while you play.
The cornerstone for our ESPN integration is Online Everywhere. It's just what it sounds like, once you log in online you are always online every time you boot up MVP 06. While you're Online Everywhere, you can send messages through EA Messenger and get news from ESPN.com, but perhaps cooler is the ability to have a persistent ESPN ticker with up to date scores from all different sports that always run in the front end, in loading screens AND in gameplay! My favorite aspect of the ESPN Integration is the ESPN Radio Sportscenter updates. These update you on the latest happenings in sports recorded at the ESPN Radio studios and are pushed to your PS2 or XBOX every 20 minutes, and like the ticker - they are always current. In fact the scores on the ticker are often more accurate than some websites. All of this is available if you are Online Everywhere and it's free of charge.
Beginning with MVP 06 NCAA Baseball, it is definitely our goal to build upon our partnership and integrate ESPN content where it is relevant across all of our EA Sports franchises. Ultimately how ESPN is integrated into our EA Sports portfolio is going to be different on a title by title basis. There is not going to be a new blanket ESPN treatment that is given to all of our EA Sports franchises, but instead a mix of integrated content that is relevant on a sport by sport basis as approved by our league partners. While we expect to have some core features across the majority of our games, it has to make sense for that sport to make it into our games. Fight Night Round 3 and NFL Head Coach will be right behind MVP 06 with ESPN integration.
