Eurogamer Expo 2012, who is going?

Yep, going on Saturday. Also thinking of wearing a Gaf t-shirt so those of you who haven't come to any meets yet will recognise me.

Went last year and it was pretty cool. Looking forward to it. Also up for beers afterwards.
 
I'm going all 4 days :D

Thursday and Friday with the girlfriend, then Saturday and Sunday with various friends. Am up for GAF-meet-goodness on the Thurs/Fri ideally.

So excited - I did all days for the expo in '10 and '11, which were an absolute blast. I can't wait to see it expand again this year - hopefully not too long and we'll get a couple of game announcements there :D

Yeah we should definitely get tshirts, stickers, badges or something to reprazent GAF-hood.
 
Thinking of ordering some tickets for this, unfortunately there's only a return flight on saturday, oh well thursday - friday should be enough.

Was checking out the possibilities of going to gamescom 2 months ago, but the plane tickets had already soared way too high D:

I'll be there on Saturday and Sunday. The event is always pretty great... I hope they bring back the huge Dance Central stage this year for DC3!
 
Yeah it's been pretty amazing for the 2 years I've been going - I fully expect it to be much bigger this year though - perhaps using both floors this time?

I hope the conference room is bigger or I don't expect I'll be able to get into the Kojima session.

I've sent my number over to Jason Raize - am up for gafmeet shenanigans anytime on Thursday/Friday and probably most of Sunday, but will most likely be busy on Saturday.

Let's get excited, GAF!
 
Didn't know that there was that kind of event in London, I'm totally in.
I think I'll come all 4 days and stay an extra week in London.

Where are people booking to stay?

Wondered why E3 isn't in London if LA is being a ball ache, though that was before the new three-year deal was announced.

Premier Inn Putney was going cheap a few weeks back (2 miles from expo), but the prices have bumped up now.
 
are tickets still available, and when is likely to be the quieter days/times? I'm only down in Windsor so getting up to Earls Court isn't too bad. I thought it was in somewhere crazy like Excel
 
Might book, have been putting it to one side.

Last year I entered the Nathan Drake cosplay competition which was supposedly going to be judged down to detail. Unfortunately a guy won who had the most simple costume but closest matching face. Was gutted after spending weeks on my costume! Might wear part of it this time though.

Going by previous years, Thursday will be quiet, Friday will be so-so, very busy on Saturday and a little less-so on Sunday.

I'd say Thursday will be most bang-for-buck by far, especially with a big session like Kojima - even if you don't want to see him, it should take plenty of the crowd off of the show floor
 
Got two tickets for the BAFTA event with Kojima, if I for whatever reason can't see him at Eurogamer (don't queue early enough), I can see him on the Friday night!
 
We should get a lot of information about what's going to be there soon after Gamescom is over.

Anyone care to join me in wild, unreasonable speculation?

Wii U playable, XCOM playable, Prey 2 resurrection conference.
 
AND MY AXE! Already paid for my hotel from Wednesday to Saturday. So I'll be going Thursday to Saturday this time. Can't wait! I'll update the official thread next month with ways for people to get in contact with each other. Will be interesting to finally meet audio boxer after speaking on gaf, neowin and twitter. :p
 
OK, I've ordered a couple of GAF shirts so I should be recognisable.

Sadly, I didn't personalize with "GAFFERS GONNA GAF". I'll have to save that for next time
 
I am with my girlfriend. Coming from Scotland for thursday/friday (early entry tickets)

Just got to book the bus and the hostel (Earls Court Youth Hostel) which I plan on doing this week and I'm set :)
 
wooohooooo flights and accomodation now sorted, heading over on the Thursday but hitting the Expo on only the Friday and Saturday as we're out clubbing on Saturday and will be in no fit state to do anything!

I'm looking forward to a "hands on" of Dishonored!

Anyone getting dressed up?

Mine only arrived this morning. I got 2 different shirts so I won't have to wear the same one for 4 days in a row :| At least this way I can wash them both on friday night and not feel like a reet minger

Who is arranging the meet-up? We should probably do it outside where the World of Tanks tanks were last year as it should be easier to actually find each other without the huge crowds inside?
 
I'm definitely there on Thursday and Friday, and may be there on Saturday. I had a great time last year - in difficult circumstances - and met some really nice GAFfers. It probably would have been the most miserable weekend ever were it not for this event and meeting new friends.

Ah I thought you were going. Yeah I'm at Eurogamer. I know Jedeye can't do the meet up on the 15th but not sure if he's doing this or not.
