Europe-only games based on American properties

Seraphis Cain

bad gameplay lol
Over the years, I've noticed that there have been quite a few games based on American properties that have seen release only in Europe. Examples:

Beverly Hills Cop (PS2) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPHI3U3XQ-g

I guess it's an...FPS? What the hell. No Judge Reinhold, no buy is all I have to say.

Lassie (PS2) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su3YqZ2Wi7s

I don't even...Well, um...at least the cel-shading is sorta nice. And that music is AMAZING.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Nintendo DS) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSYvdzuOsQg

This one doesn't look too bad, honestly. This one more than the rest, I don't know why it wasn't released in the US. Could have been a nice budget game.

There are others too, like Conan (PS2) and Casper's Scare School (PS2). I mean, I know these properties all have some measure of popularity in Europe, But you'd have to at least think that with all the garbage that publishers pump out here in the US (especially back during the PS2 era), these games would have been released here as well.

Also, the other purpose of this thread was to just point out that a Beverly Hills Cop FPS exists. Seriously man, what the hell.

That Lassie game looks horrendous. I would love to meet a person who bought that game, just so they can explain how horrible the experience of playing it was.

Lol at that video from the Lassie game. Looks horrible, plays horrible, nothing happens. But at least the boredom is EPIC due to the music.

blast and 505 are surprisingly consistent at putting out laughably awful games I think, played a few of them when I was working at a second hand shop. no one is missing out.

Did He-Man ever come out on PS2 in Europe?

I know the Xbox version was cancelled everywhere.

Shame as it was somewhat amusing.

What's really funny is that it actually appeared on the Microsoft Xbox 360 BC list. ;)

Blast! put out a bunch of Europe-only games based on licenses that were decidedly past their prime. Others (besides the one you posted) include Babe, Jumanji, Xena Warrior Princess, and Home Alone. And all of these came out in the mid-2000s.

From another publisher, I know there was a PAL-only game based on the first Underworld movie.

Yet Davilex is from the Netherlands. They also did a Miami Vice game, no idea if that one was Europe only. I guess it was.

I was thinking more of a Dragon Age/ Baldur's Gate style tactical party based RPG more than a JRPG

Buffy/Spike as Tank
Anya as DPS
Willow as Mage/ heals
Xander as Ranged DPS

But at this point I'd buy any RPG with Buffy. Even if it sucks.

EDIT:Went scrounging around Youtube and found this. No idea if its any good or not

its not EXACTLY a Buffy RPG. Its a fan game made with RPG Maker VX and its a Buffy x Evil Dead Crossover (with some other moves and shows and such I think)
