Ever took leave (time off) to clear your backlog?

Most employees get PAID time off. Taking a day off to play video games isn't costing them any money. Many people (myself included) get into situations where they have to take leave or forfeit it. May as well get paid for sitting at home playing video games in that situation.
Like I said earlier, I'd rather spend my days off doing something somewhere different from what I can normally do when I get home. I'd feel like my vacation was a waste if I spent it at home playing games and watching movies. Maybe some days would be fine but not the whole vacation.

I've only just recently had a backlog (because of PS+). I have a week off in May between the end of my school year and start of my summer course and internship. I might carve out some time specifically to take care of it. Doesn't help that I bought some games in the flash sale yesterday.

Do your vacation/sick hours roll into the next year? If so, I get it. For a lot of people, if you don't use the time you lose it. So...might as well use it.

I do whatever the hell I want with my time off... take a trip, see family, build a fence, sit my ass on the couch and play video games. People acting as if it's some kind of sin to play video games on your time off... pull the stick out.

I wont ever take time off just to "clear my backlog". There have been a couple of times I took PTO on random Fridays just for a break. I usually end up doing a couple of chores and then playing video games.

Haven't taken any time for new releases, but I have a bunch of time saved up so who knows.

Ever since I started PC gaming, I've kept on adding more titles and barely play them. My 3DS titles are a different story, as I put a good amount of hours and get halfway through each game, but I stop playing them for some reason(burnout?)

Right now I'm trying to beat SMTIV, a game that I was 10 hours away from beating. I recently just beat Metal Gear Solid, and want to clear up my backlog for once, so I'm holding off on buying more games.

See i like it at like the saying, if you enjoy it then it wasn't a waste of time.

I'm not sure if a stay-cation is going to do much to change that. If you're that into gaming why don't you leverage that into a trip to PAX or Tokyo and share some time with other like-minded individuals.

Because I have certain social anxieties that prevent me from enjoying those events for long. If you want to know the end result of what happens to a kid that is bullied for his whole school career then bottles it up. look no further.
