Just late last week, those same early morning drawings were ending at around 300-350. But you're right, people have realized this and are putting in codes for those drawings well ahead of time.

Jeff, hold out until tomorrow if you can. I'm making my new topic for my remaining codes around 11 hours from now. If you can't, PM me tonight, and I'll try and get your codes out before I go to bed.

I won't do this for anyone else though, so please don't barrage me with PMs now.

Also, the 2 per 24 hour period thing is sketchy. It seems to be working for some people but not for others.

I can tell.. :p

The codes are supposed to be on Mountain Dews, Pepsi and Sierra Mist. Chances are if you still can't find them in any of the three brands it's because the store isn't selling well and hasn't re-stocked in a while.
 
Are the average number of codes in a given contest really around 700 now. I see farther off they are around 200, but the ones in the next hour are betweeen 500-700. That seems like way too many unless a lot of people are still using their referral codes.

The average number is actually higher than that, they end with at least 900 for each one that I've seen today, usually a bit above 1000. But I agree with you, it's way too many and it's honestly kind of suspicious. i keep thinking it will eventually cool off after a couple of weeks but I am in denial

EGM92 just told me he won with a total of 9 or so codes split among several auctions.

It IS possible to win win only a few codes.

when (if) i get up to a couple hundred codes that's going to be the real question, do I throw them all into one to greatly increase the odds or split them up into groups of 20 or so into multiple auctions...
 
I put all of mine into a single drawing, but this was back when the average drawing size was about half of what it is now. I effectively secured a win for myself.

You'll still have the highest chance percentage-wise if you enter all your codes into one auction, but if you lose you're screwed.
 
There's an NYC launch party?

While I'm sure the invitations go along with the "party in a box" and are meant to invite people to your house, It'd be awesome if they invided you to the NYC launch party.

When is said party? If it's on a weekend or a day I'm not at school ,I'll make the 2 hour trip to NYC.

This is why I just want this to be over with.

I called today and here is how the conversation went

Me: "Hello. I won the contest and I just called to confirm my address. Before when I called you guys had the wrong one in the system."

Guy: "What's your address."

*I give my address*

Guy: "That's not showing up in our system."

Me: "That's what the lady said yesterday. I think my old address somehow made it into your system from my Yahoo account."

Guy: "Do you still live there?"

Me: "No. I have this winner's confirmation number."

Guy: "What is your name?"

*I give my name*

Guy: Oh, I have your address right here. It's...*calls out correct address as I originally entered it into the contest*

Me: "Okay, that's exactly right. So my stuff will be sent to that address?"

Guy: "Yeah, we won't change your address."

Me: "Okay, thanks."

*End Conversation*




Their system is just plain broken, and their operators don't seem to be very good at their jobs. I could have been anyone with a collection of addresses. I did not once give the confirmation number I was asked by the website to give.

That's why I started that thread about checking your addresses. You may have won, but the people handling your information aren't doing a very good job. For example, why don't I have the address to which they're shipping ALL my packages right in front of me? Amazon, Ebay, Gamestop, etc. Just some of the thousands of sites that let you know where they're sending your stuff as soon as it's confirmed that you're getting it.

I don't mean to be paranoid, or overreact, but I did win this, and I'm going to make sure I get it.

Anyone got some strategies for using 2 codes?

I just checked some timeslots and they still seem to be around 500 per. I thought the numbers would fall after the referral limit, should I sit on Eco's codes for a few weeks to let the "cheaters" finish abusing the system?


*no offense to anyone who accumilated an obscene amount of codes, just didn't know how else to say it...

At this point, the numbers will probably only grow. Bottles are showing up all over the place, so people have a bunch of legit codes to enter now.
 
What Ecrofirt said. If you're expecting a drastic dropoff in the number of entrants, it's not gonna happen.

The mainstreamers are getting wind of the contest via commercials and word of mouth. Plus more and more bottles showing up in marketplaces only provide even more exposure for the contest.
 
Yeah, drawings have grown on average by about 50-100 codes each day this week, and I really don't expect them to stop growing. Maybe things will calm down by the time the end of the contest nears, but I doubt it. Basically, if you didn't use the referral system, your best shot to win was the first week.

I really should have sat down and did the referal thing the first night. instead I bitched about how it broke the game.

Yea i just got back into an area that has mountain dew with the new packaging.. If anyone has any spare codes im getting in on this now, and is willing to give a few up Ill be willing to take them off there hands, or even yet pay a small amount for some (i dont think i can drink that much Dew) :lol
 
I really hope the periperals are out before that console launch date, What kind of party would that be.

I'm going to dump all of my points Tuesday. I figure it's a pretty random day of the week and better than the weekend. It's probably going to cut down a bit on last second players as well. I think I'll drop by the store and pick up 20 extra 20 oz. bottles just to pad the points a bit and hope for the best.

Easiest way to grow a number of points quickly will be to go tohrough recycle bins where you know they use pepsi products.

Schools, office buildings, and other places like that will probably have a massive amount of codes on the bottles in the recycle bins.

It's a dirty job, but for $580 worth of stuff I'd definitely do it.

I'm hoping some stores might even have the games a few days early, I'd love to play more than just NFS.
 
A question: how many points, in the realm of reason, should you dump in one timeslot to get a fair chance at a drawing before getting too much sugar in the bloodstream?
