That's true, but using an algorithm defies logic. It's pretty obvious they are serious about making the contest cheat-proof. An algorithm isn't cheat-proof as you said, but randomization is because it has no pattern.
Though if by some chance they did go with an algorithm and it got compromised, I think who ever writes the first code generator should be allowed to keep their winnings because of all of the effort they put in. No one should blame them. It's like Rocky. Apollo won because he just wanted it more.

next, i decided to use ecro's codes and it invalidated them. "you have gone over your friend to friend code limit blah blah this code is now invalidated." um, what? I only used 2 of ecro's codes before this, and that was last week. all the rest have been straight from the caps. i thought that the limit was 2 per day, not 2 in total. either way, heads up to those who are counting on ecro's codes. they might be invalidated for whatever reason.

I've been getting PMs from some people that my codes are invalid, and these are all from people who've already entered referral codes.
Docpan, call Pepsi about the cap. I have the number on the previous page. Hopefully they'll sort it out for you.

With all the rampant turboinput of codes, what would pepsi be able to do? Sure, I only have one code (my cap is orange), but what would they be able to do? Give another code?

I could call the local bottler/pepsi plant, but they'd probably just redirect to the 1-800 #?

Just got off the phone with customer service. First of all, she was (as expected) a foreigner whose English was so broken I could barely understand her. After several "excuse me, I'm sorry, repeat that, and HUH?" I managed to get the website they are directing people to. Here it is for anyone else with invalid codes.

You have to print out a postage free label and send them the caps for inspection, then they send you new codes. It's hardly worth the fuss but I want them to check into this so I'm sending them.

this 9:50 slot dropped down to 65, now its up to about 380. When I was looking at all the 9:00 slots earlier they were all in at least the 600 range. Either they have some glitches happening in the system or there really is some way they are detecting codes that aren't supposed to be there

Well i'm gearing up to make a run for it, i work at a Nursing Home and they have all the soda bottles in a recycling container ( read, garbage can 
) so i can freely twist off caps and take them. So what is the magic number or caps and time that i should try for this? Today alone i got around 15 caps, i say about 15 a day for about 4-5 days will get me about 75.

I'm starting to wonder when I will be getting those code stickers I sent off the SASEs for. I've heard anywhere from 2 weeks to 4-6 weeks. Knowing my luck I won't get them back until the ass end of the contest. Anybody that sent some off received them back yet?
