Everyday Shooter now on steam!

OK the trick to the eye is this:

Shoot the flashing guys as fast as you can in the first stage. That'll destroy many more robots you can hit by yourself, which will keep the eye from getting too big.

In the second stage, focus on those floating projectile things that explode if you shoot them quickly, but don't destroy them right away. The trick is find a projectile that will be onscreen for a long time and follow it, slowly shooting it so that it gets bigger and bigger until you force it to burst at the last second. If you do this, the ensuing explosion will have enough, uh, shrapnel(?) to take out a few of the smaller eyes, which in turn makes it easier to keep the big eye's size down.

Just do your best to keep the center eye as small as possible, since when it shrinks completely, every single bullet you hit it with will turn into a flashing point thingy.

Awesome game, but I'm getting a lot of sound crackling on my x-fi. Anyone else? I have 0 problems with everything else I've played.

IIRC, some of the music in the levels had low bitrates.

Are the keyboard controls ok? They sound awkward to me.

Yes and no, i guesss it depends on your play style. When i think about how i would play the game with a pad then my left hand would be doing movements while my right is used for shooting, but with the kb its backwards, so its sorta odd. It still works fine and the game does kickass.

I'm doing "ok" with kb controls but i intend to pickup a controller in the next few days and see how i go with that.

so... I've got levels 1- 3 figured out for maximum points. Any one got tips for 4?

I know if you manage to shoot down one of those bird spawning clouds(?) theres some mad points. Also if you get em both down then you have 3 red barons to deal with. I could never survive 3 of em. 1 I can handle, but I still have a hard time killing him in time. I'm figuring theres got to be a trick to the red barons.

I love this game so much. It's nearly impossible to explain, but once you "get it" the game is gold.

Bought the game minutes ago. Unfortunately my urge to finally play this game was destroyed by the fact this game does not recognize my controller. It´s an Dual-Shock over USB combo, have not had any problems in other games before.
This is so sad :((( . Can´t play it with keyboard.
I hope the problems other people have with their controllers are related to mine so the hopefully upcoming fix will help me out.

Where can I find the .exe to this game under the Steam folder? I'm trying to force AA/AF and I can't find it.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\everyday shooter

In there, or something similar.

You think there's any chance of Rez HD on PSN in the future?
Yes. The last interview I saw asked why it wasn't on PSN. A part of it was the lack of rumble from PS3 controllers at the time. He also alluded to various unspecified reasons as to why the 360 was the exclusive platform at that time.

It has a solid chance of eventually coming to PSN eventually. Maybe 1 in 4 or something.

SCE published it (and they published Everyday Shooter) but I can't imagine Housemarque/Bloodhouse selling the IP. Could be a moneyhat exclusivity deal though.

Housemarque does. They've written the code to be tied with the Cell though, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to port. But the option is on the table.
Actually, SCEE owns Super Stardust trademark.

I'm not sure what was the situation with ES, but I guess Mack kept the IP rights for himself.

Now there's no excuse for you guys who don't have a PS3 to not play this game. NO EXCUSE!

Well, except for the excuse that not everybody has a machine that can run Steam.

So can anyone upload their save for me, if you have some good progress? I wanted to play through this again but I lost my save file, can't be bothered to grind for lives and levels for shuffle mode.

file is located:
DRIVE:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\everyday shooter\data\fio.data

also 75% off on Steam, total bargain.

Somehow I had no idea this was ever on Steam, and I've been curious about it for three frickin' years. (Don't own a PS3.)

It's completely ignoring my wired 360 controller, though, and it seems near-unplayable via keyboard.

It doesn't have analogue support like on PS3. Mak claims it was meant to be patched but never bothered.
