That actually stifles some of my enthusiasm because I know it's going to be a long time until anything actually happens, it was nice to at least see the number increase

Anyway, I wonder if this is going to backfire for the company... they're generating a lot of buzz, but now it cools off as everyone realizes they're just a big cocktease, so when they do actually release something of substance, no one is going to care. Once bitten, twice shy (baby).

I had that as a background for a long time, few years back! This game had better rock, I want my next-gen Hexen, Heretic and Witchaven-like game! :D

WTF? You are aware we are talking about a medieval, dark age and Tolkien-inspired fantasy game, right? It's even called 'YARD TEASER". Seems pretty safe to say it's very relevant to the game, being a YARD in a castle/village. :)

Also, on a sidenote, what if our clicking is not helping and it's timed, but the clicking thing is a smart way to get people to notice the page? Haha! I don't know, thought it would be clever viral marketing though.

Wow, this is one of the most promissing games right now. I remember I was completely blown away by the first footages they showed last year. Really amazing stuff.

Ah! Well that is a valid mistake then. After all those houses were mostly made in similar ways they were made in Europe in the dark ages, with mud, plaster, wood, etc. :)

EDIT: All the screenshots have a very 'eastern' feel to the bright lighting. So very valid! It's fantasy world though. so they can combine those I suppose.
 
This game looks awesome.

I skipped the first pages of the thread.

I thought a lot of info was already known about the game. The whole structure of missions and combat and having classes was on the website 2 years ago with the original tech demo video.

Really, I knew more about this game than most others that far away.

I am relatively inexperienced with Microsoft's Visual studio programs...but couldn't someone make a quick program that would repeatedly refresh the page?

Give that program to others...let it run in the background...

firefox has plugins that do this.

there are also lots of programs that will press f5 every so often if you tell them to.

or you could modify the MSblaster worm to bombard Offset Software.

That would teach them a lesson for indulging such shameless viral marketing. :lol
 
I should have refreshed this sooner, I'm already following a tutorial called, "How to make your own Web Browser in 5 minutes" :P

Dark Messiah's good, but it's nothing like Oblivion. The only thing they have in common is their POV and RPG elements.
