It would have alot, considering the xbox one was full of multiplayer games, and less SP mode.
If they want to repeat these mistakes again, then they deserve all the shit they will get.

If you don't think people in here suddenly likes GaaS and destiny 2 then go search for destiny 2 + Sony, or just any destiny 2 thread past the acquisition.

But you already know about it, and probably advertised for Sony in these threads as well.

he is kinda right though. 3 months ago, people hated gaas. But suddenly they love it.

That kind of double standard is shit.

For me, I love gaas, since I get new contents every year, so I can enjoy playing the game. Eso has alot of content now, compared to release launch.

Eh what? The vast majority of MS's AAA games announced thus far show no sign of GaaS and Halo's GaaS aspects aren't even part of Gamepass.

Eek. Bungie/Destiny news has done a number on you. You will be fine, man. You are trying to force a narrative that doesn't exist (if it does, you are certainly magnifying it to be bigger than it is) and trying to bundle people together without caring about the nuances — you pulled this same stunt in another thread recently and tried to hide behind it by saying "joke" lol — I don't think anyone is fooled. Destiny 2 was put on the spotlight due to the acquisition so there will be some people who will simply try it out based on that. It is very odd that it bothers you soo much that you have to repeat this in almost every other thread.

No, he is kinda not. There are plenty of games here that don't get discussed until something is rumored or something big happens. Destiny 2 also has a pretty big community outside of here and if you actually play Destiny you will understand why those people may not choose to discuss D2 here 24/7. Regardless, The Witch Queen is releasing this month and the "other" news was also announced this month. So yes, people will talk about it.

The argument can be made that SP games don't fit a subscription gaming service as well as GAAS

Which makes me wanna vomit if this is the route most of these gaming companies want to go

You cant sustain a service like that with gaas. Netflix still has movies, instead of tv shows only.

Gaas is good, if done right. We have alot of mmo games, which get alot of content every year. ESO has accumulated tons of contents overtime. Same for destiny 2, and Fortnite.

Gaffers hated gaas completely here. They had strong distain to it. Now people are showing their love. This isnt aimed for destiny lovers, but people who generally hate gaas. Its for those people, who changed their mind suddenly, and now gaas are cool.

And I question multiple $100,000,000 AAA games in a $15 service in a quarter but Hellblade 2 looks like it's staying true to SP so that's a good sign
 
Why do people see GaaS as something bad?
I would have LOVED for Castlevania SOTN to be a GaaS.
The amount of content would've been awesome.
 
Crystal Dynamics is a support studio. The initiative is the main developer. I think it's the multiplayer online component which naturally is GaaS.

Speaking of Fable, I actually heard Fable could be like an MMO or something similar. I'm not sure what direction it will go in. I got a feeling that several of these games could have a more heavier emphasis on multiplayer or online.

People really need to stop tryingbto form a narritive that Microsoft wont have a fantastic single player portfolio.
Xbox games studios have the most devs that make single player games. Facts are facts.

Game has been in development for years but this guy only joined in January yet this is evidence of something?
Sounds like people are just desperate to downplay as one of the most revered franchises in gaming is returning to Xbox.
 
I really wish they'd show ANYTHING from those games announced 3-4 years ago.
Still not 3 seconds combined of anything from SoD3, Fable, Perfect dark or Everwild.
 
The tweet in the OP is based on pretty weak deduction, tbh. Just because the lead producer (who only started last month!) has worked on a couple of GaaS games, it doesn't mean Perfect dark has to be GaaS.


That said, if Perfect Dark has a campaign and an MP mode, it wouldn't be unusual for the MP mode to have some cosmetic MTX.
 
I believe everything on Twitter, so this must be true.

For me, if I turn on my system and see 29 games have updates, I think to myself 29 games just got better so I look at what was updated and go play one.

Seems many of you think the opposite, and choose to delete those 29 games because they were incomplete at launch.

Crystal D are incredible devs for sure,they should have never been forced to make Avengers though. What a turd that turned out to be as a Gaas.

like others have said, if this is some k8nd of episodic thing then that's cool. Even pit skins in etc for Joanna if you have to. Just don't make it like avengers lol.

sea of thieves is doing incredibly, so I'd like to think MS has a clue how to do a successful Gaas.

Yeah, if anything there should be praise for how much post launch support those games are receiving, most of the time for free.

I think PD will use the Hitman model with episodes and additional objectives added to each mission. And I think it will be good based on recent releases from MS.
