Hearing Boyes, and his story about when he was hired, it seems clear the companies are taking very different approaches. Fact these guys are as jovial, bubbly and free spirited as they are, and trawl the social sphere as much as they do. They're clearly in-tune with us core forum type folk.
Why? I was interested to hear what he had to say more than the Giant Bomb crew.
That kind of stuff is the best part about these E3 GiantBomb streams. You get to see industry people shoot the shit and talk like regular people without all the PR buzzword crap.

That is honestly the reason why I usually make time to watch these live. I love it when they bring most industry people on to not only shoot the shit, but bring some insight into how the business truly works on their end. What stories they have with respect to how hard it is to make a game and/or market it, and the successes that they had when they did it right.
Adam Boyes is one of my favourite guests along with John Bellomy, Brad Muir, Jeff Green, and an assorted number of people, just because of the raw talks they have with them.

the reason people love giant bomb podcasts is because of the buddy-buddy non stop banter, the downside for guests that aren't the star of the show is that its hard to jump into conversations like that.
