So far we know that it takes place in that huge spaceship in season 1 with all of the different factions. That could change though depending on what they reveal next.

That's why I'm thinking The Expanse game might be more like Butcher Bay or like the Mass Effect: Citadel game that everyone wanted years back, starring Garrus as he solves crimes.

Combat looks like what I want back from Mass Effect, which is Gears of War with sci-fi powers + RPG progression.

I'm all on board, just hope the execution is good, and the writing is better than 3 + Andromeda.

What an odd choice of things to show. 20 second combat clip, then a minute of a character hanging on a rope and opening a door..

It's not that it looks bad or anything, but why show this particular uninteresting part? It's almost suspiciously feeling like that's the only gameplay part that they can show for now..

I really have been itching for a Sci Fi WRPG in the vein of Mass Effect where you can explore towns/cities on different planets

Yes, specifically the choose-your-own-adventure style of RPG.

That requires a ton of budget in writing, animation, voice acting and art for multi-scenario outputs.

It's why these types of games don't come along often. The writing alone is like writing 2-3 books at once.

Out of everything shown of the game so far, I'm hoping exploration is really good. That looks like an interesting area that you can explore and talk to NPCs. Hope this game turns out good. I really need a game to scratch that Mass Effect itch

I wishlisted this game in 2025. Release is noted as 2027. Game development really does take too dang long. We will probably be lucky to play this for Christmas 2027.
