[Son of Godzilla]

Art direction isn't something I'd criticize a game like this for. The entire concept is ridiculous so they should just play it up. Hell, if anything I think the game needs to have a bit less extravagant backgrounds and focus more on the monsters.

The only downside I can see is that it'd be a bit awkward trying to use this kind of tech in addition to a controller. Which is a shame, because Lost Kingdom would be freakin insane.

Still doesnt make any sense. You're implying that the Lost Kingdom team had this tech built for them or that they had something to do with this tech or that they would even use this tech. Its not like this is FOR Lost Kingdom or any other game for that matter....
How can it be a downside if it's catered to one game?
Even if Lost Kingdom was to use this...It wouldnt be that ackward. Adventure around some, and do other stuff and when it comes time to battle, put the controller down and grab you're deck. Battles probably wouldnt be that short.
