Someone on Reddit leaked Fable IV details and attached a video with it but that account got deleted

Game Details:

  • First/Third Person
  • In depth character creator
  • Completely open
  • No guns
  • Can ignore main quest and never become a hero
  • Players can build towns, ties into main quest heavily if you get the bad ending and fail
  • Multiplayer
  • Unreal Engine

Story Details:

Albion and Aurora are gone. "Lands reduced to fables." The Spire was rebuilt and used by a mad king to wish that an asteroid would strike the planet. He also wished it would happen again in the far future. Eons later and everything is new (medieval themed, new continents) and you have to stop the destruction of the planet again. Theresa and a Heroes Guild are preserved on another planet via a demon door. Time Travel heavily involved in play. Jack of Blades returns.

Fuckin' hell, you might as well turn off internet in your home for a week. That way maybe at least one surprise / reveal won't be spoiled if not all of 'em.

Isn't this game barely in real development yet? Also, who would be leaking all this?

And I really, really hope with Multiplayer they just mean you can play it in CO op like Fable 3. Because Jesus, just give me a SP RPG. I know I'll play this solo.

Also, town building? I honestly hope this all is just fake.

Would absolutely love this to be true, hope they keep the British style humour and all them West country accent's.

Sound like they're going with a more elder Scrolls style game, is this still being done by playground? Would be interesting to see how well they can transition from open world racer to open world RPG.

Who cares if it leakes or not? The effects of spoilers are completely overblown anyway. This has even been proven. Just chill.

FPS/TPS is an immediate no no for me. I have yet to play a game that lets you swap camera that has a solid combat system that works in both. Please prove me wrong.

And no guns sounds terrible, unless it's no "guns" guns, and bow and arrow instead.

And killing off Albion? Albion is the entire reason I play Fable, and replay Fable, and replay Fable. It better be gone in name only, only for a similar world to grow up in its place.

Hope this is fake.

Town building? C'mon, we are not interested.

It ties into the story if you get the bad ending it says. Does that mean you get to build towns after the bad story ending? Since you have to prevent the destruction of the world?

I hope that's it because ever since this was leaked I had some kind of expectations, not a whole lot but at least a game world with plenty of towns, villages, caves/dungeons, city/cities to explore. Please PG do NOT let this be that we have to built the majority of these towns ourselves. Fucking hell, just be like Witcher 3 in that regard.

Didn't the developer not so long ago say that they wouldn't be talking/showing this game for a long, long time? I'm surprised by these leaks. If it's not made up of course.

Town building its a let down. Why bring the worst of Fable 3 to this... hope its not true because Fable 3 imo is the worst Fable game ever. Will be first person/third person like Skyrim as well? Dunno if this match with the Fable vision.
And UE? Was that company using the Forza Horizon engine for this?

That's the kind of thing that made me not finish Fallout 4. I just didn't want to be bother with it, or by it
Just booted up Fallout 4 again after a year or so, and the whole settlement thing is making me not start a new game. If i havent played a game in a long time, i always start fresh, but cant be arsed doing the whole settlement thing all over again with a new start.
It really sucks that they added this into the game.

Thank god.

Hell yeah!

When these guys are ready to reveal the game I want my jaw to drop to the floor, like how it did when GG revealed Horizon gameplay for the first time. I want this talented team to show us their vision of a fantasy world. Give me nice towns, villages to explore. Give me a story and side quests with interesting storylines like seen in Witcher games.

With all this in mind now, I expect Fable to be absent from E3, which is only understandable too.

It's fake my dude. Confirmed by Jez Corden, I don't think I have much reason to believe he's BS'ing here.

As for Fallout 4, please continue man, it's worth it. You can totally ignore the settlement crap. The only thing you're gonna see is small text at random times saying that a settlement needs help and you'll just ignore it and continue on your travels in the game.

I meant it sucks that they added it to Fallout 4.
So the whole settlement things, is it not actually important to the story/missions in Fallout 4?

Nahhhh. Just ignore it altogether. I did every single quest (except the ridiculous ass fetch quests) and didn't worry about those settlements at all. You just need to do it once for that Preston guy and that's it.

This is fake. They used a video from someone's 3D artwork demo reel and passed it on as game footage.

Also, as an avid Fable fan the plot points do not even add up.

Close the thread and move on.

Leaks are not what they used to be anymore, out of all the 'leaks' that come out just which one to believe, how many times there have been real leaks which were believed to be fake by everybody, even with proofs of being fake (lmao these detectives) and ended up being real.

I love the settlement system in Fallout 4 =/
What do you dislike so much about it? I personally loved being able to create my little towns with life in it and such. Are you playing on console? Because the default game has very limited options for the settlement, and you hit the maximum amount of objects really quickly, which is frustrating, but on pc with the limitations removed and more stuff available it's really great. But if you hate the original thing that much, I guess even more options wouldn't help it.

What I'm also confused about is that the game itself really doesn't force you to use that system a lot, you have to build some very basic stuff and don't really have to touch it again if you don't care about it, so why do you hate it that much?

I especially loved the settlement in the vault dlc, I built some crazy big vault in that, with shops, all kind of activites and all, it was like the sims.

No town building would be better for me, I didn't like that at all in Fallout 4, if it's there I hope it's as optional as in F4....

Too much collecting, and building, etc. It doesnt help that the the settlements dont even seem to have any effect on the game anyway.

If it doesn't have any effect on the game, nothing forces you to use it then.
And for me it was a fun thing, I didn't need for it to have a specific purpose, I just enjoyed creating my own settlements.
