On topic: How about those character designs?

The men all look good and sensible, while the women look like they were designed by Nomura.

So the question here: Who did Nomura pay to design Snow/Hope/Sazh?

Last I recall, apparently the name Allison Keith was floating around, the dub voice actress for Misato from Evangelion. Dunno how accurate that is but that's what I remember.

EVERYONE STARTED...FREAKING THE HELL OUT!

Digital Devil Saga did not have good voice acting. The delivery of much of the script was routinely awful, with awkward reading of lines and frequent fallback to amateur-hour.

Like I said, I like DDS, and I don't know why people list it as a good voice acting in RPGs.

That's entirely a plot development, though. The subtle emotional additions, especially with Argilla, that make DDS such a great VA feat. It's a great, emotionally-charged scene.

I'd like to finally get a PS3 soon, and I'm thinking I'll just wait for the FFXIII white slim bundle that comes with the game and the 250 GB drive. It's out Dec. 17 with the game, but it's limited edition and I feel like I will probably need to preorder the bundle somehow? Never done this since moving to Japan... anyone know of any physical places I can preorder this system or if I'll need to wait in line somewhere?

Okay. This officially the end of the FFXIII Megathread. From now until the release of the game, for each type of news, we will have a new thread.

For example:

"New FFXIII images at IGN"

or

"Famitsu reveals Weapon Customization System in FFXIII"

and

"New party member in FFXIII revealed in Jump - Kagari Von Turtleneck"

etc.

In the first week of December, the official thread will surface. Anyone who spoils the game or tries to derail shit will get banned hard.

After Jump Festa, depending on whether it looks likely that Square Enix is even remotely interested in promoting the next two FFXIII games anytime soon, I will think about how we can best discuss the games in an informative and well.... decent manner. This thread has obviously failed it's longterm purpose, and it is unfortunate but it has to be put down before it begins to smell worse than it already does.
