I would be. But if it's different with guys and girls. A girl can grab a guy's dick in public and he'd love it. But if you're a guy and you even just look at a girl's breasts, she gets offended.
 
Some of the responses here are baffling. I'm guessing a lot of you don't use it or don't have many friends in your profile (because people forget to add you)

I see she accepted it. Facebook friend invites are no big deal at all. The downside is that it really doesn't mean shit and if you really pursue her once she adds you, you'll find yourself shot down real fast.

Good luck, just make sure you aren't friend 1 out of 800 plus. I swear most (college) girls live by facebook. In class, if I ever see a girl with her laptop, she's either on facebook browsing by herself or showing her friends her pictures of her on facebook.

It just seems weird that you were able to talk to her and not get her name ever. :/
 
I see you already sorted out the issue...but really in college it seems like all that's necessary to be a facebook friend with someone is a single conversation. I get emails all the time from people I barely even know who are trying to add me(I should turn those notifications off)...Personally I rarely add them, cause I never go onto facebook. I hate it. I only have one cause it seems like a social obligation.

Honestly though, what I find kind of weird are friend requests from people I barely even knew years ago in high school, etc. They just start adding any names/ppl they recognize. Getting Facebook friends is like collecting Pokemon to these people.

Over-analysis of minutae will doom you.

If you require this level of support to make a Facebook friend request, it does not bode well for a conversation or (gasp) a date. Over complicating, over-analysing, over-consideration of your every action and response, will lead to failure.

Take a breath, say Hi to her and try and have a natural conversation. And for the love of god, don't search her FB page for clues as to what you can talk about.
 
Don't listen to these people, confirming you as a friend on Facebook is clearly a signal that she wants her penis in your vagina.

I send friend requests to people I know really well, people I barely know, and people I've never met. All of those people have accepted my requests. What's the big deal? Facebook is a networking tool.

I add both people that I really consider as a friend, to coworkers that I may never see outside of work. It's an easy way to keep track of people's names.

If someone is really offended that you added them, and they reject, so what?

A lot of fb users receive email notifications when people request friendship. You can't take that back, if it's true in her case.

Better strategy: just make it your last one.
 
Seriously, though. Is this even an issue? I meet people all the time at school and then add them on facebook later. you don't have to be bffs with someone to be on their facebook. Yesterday this girl added me that I just met. Not a big deal.

point taken. I guess I give people too much credit. Definitely needed an obligatory "this is a joke - lol" for the posters who like laughter tracks on sitcoms because then they you know, know when to laugh.
