Fake Peter Molyneux's Twitter

I bet Molyneux thought it was his Milo trying to contact him, but then went into a rage when he found out it was just some dude having luls.

Too bad I am hearing about this now, Fake Peter is awesome -

Imagine a game where 3 pauses and it's game over. The game plays door bells, ringtones etc trying to make you accidently pause the game

God I hope the account comes back... Either it was taken down for legal reasons or he got a job somewhere and they want all those good ideas for themselves.

Bring it back!

You know, my dream for gaming is where in one game you'll shoot someone and then during a game of say Fifa you'll see their son crying.

Game where an asteroid is about to hit earth, the aim is not to stop it but to say goodbye to every family member. You have 120 of them.

Action game where before you can kill someone you must teleport to their family home back in time and spend a hour in their company.

There needs to be a book published filled with all this stuff.

Wow that Cascore video is so amazing. Guy's talented for sure. Twitter suxx too -_-
Parts of it remind me of Fahrenheit. Which makes it even better.

I seem to remember something about "molydeux", "lionhead" and "job" being mentioned in the same sentence in a serious capacity at some point...
I came very close to working for Lionhead just a few months after starting the account. I’m sure if I got the job, the account would have turned out quite differently!

The Lionhead interview was in early 2010, for an artist position to work on Milo (which I got to play during the interview!). If I had got the job I’d have stopped the account, no question – this account is just a bit of fun and not anywhere near as important as my career. However, if I had been there for a while and got to know people (including Peter himself), I’d have brought up the Molydeux account to see how they felt about it.

So that's probably what happened.

damn. that is one clever and funny fake twitter. too bad im just fidning out about it after its all over.

it would be nice to know why the account is closed.

Cascore video, working link. It's not that great compared to his twitter stuff.

The part where he mocks the "indie factor" of black & white is so true! (aka Limbo is a joke).
If it's the tweet I was looking at, the joke there may have gone over your head. Molydeux was criticizing them, saying how they think they're creative, when they're in fact just copying the concept he came up with (Black and White!). Even though in reality, it has nothing to do one with another, In his mind he has to be the most creative one, and then seethes in his juices when he doesn't get the credit he thinks he deserves (see also populous -> farmwille tweet)

hang on, why was it suspended? Is there someone else called Peter Molydeux? Its not even his real name so he can fuck off.

Sad that Lionhead got it shut down. But guess it's fair enough when that twitter provided more entertainment than they have for the past 10 years.

The account needs to get back up as soon as possible. It's one of the best little things in my day when I see the updates.

I'm glad to hear they are trying to work it out. I was afraid they would be complete dicks and shut him down without a second thought. Here's hoping he is up and running soon.

He posted this on lionheads forums : "Thanks for the kind words, currently awaiting an email from twitter so I can make a few basic changes so I can come back again. Twitter helpdesk are quite awful, sent multiple reports to them but 7 days later and still no reply." Lionhead really should just have contacted him instead of being little bitches just shutting him down.

Well that is what Lionhead did.

"I just wish Lionhead had got in touch with me first so this mess could have been avoided." Guess it's good that they at least reply his emails but a shame that they had to go on about it that way.
