Bodybuilding confounds me. I get wanting to look fit, but draw a line somewhere...

It's like those people who corset to get a 14" waist. At a certain point it stops looking better and starts looking way, way worse.

Of course. That's why I said I understand wanting to look fit. I just think some people have a very confused idea of what fitness is (see also: anorexia and bulimia).

And I'm well aware that to look like Superman, Starlord or Captain America you have to eat a very specific protein diet and then dehydrate your body for an extended period of time, which is unsustainable.

I shall be ill now. Join me!

aw, just when you were on the upswing!

I always have a laugh when threads like that disgusting food combo one come up. Also "ugliest x" and "worst y" and "most annoying z" threads. They're such opportunities for hyperbole and pious shit flinging. If some people were to be believed, enjoying The Last of Us or ketchup makes you wrong. Wrong.

Is there a USB controller better than a 360 controller? I need a replacement because the cable on my 360 controller is super sketchy and keeps disconnecting from my PC

I've mostly had pretty good luck with a DualShock 4 and DS4Windows. It emulates a 360 controller so in theory it's backwards compatible. The problem is every once in a while you'll run into a game that's poorly coded and it either receives conflicting input from the raw DS4 and virtual 360pad or sometimes doubled input.

I think the XBone pad is the one PC players are "supposed" to use now. Perfectly backwards compatible, better ergonomics, more accuracy in new games, et cetera. But I don't have one so I can't back it up.

Ds4 with DS4Windows really is the best way to go.

I play Dragon's Dogma using the touchpad as multiple buttons for the shortcut item hotkeys

Whoa. I think we've found the actress to play Lillith in her upcoming biopic.

I don't think she looks that much like her. Just having blue hair doesn't make ya twins.

I think that's Mary Elizabeth Winstead. I saw Final Destination 3 and got a bit of a man crush on her.

that can be true. it's also a great hobby . for me atleast. Sometimes I rather just workout than play a video game. it's fun lol

You eliminate most of it, so it's a waste.
Omega 3 can easily be incorporated into diet anyway.

I'm a bit lazy with my cooking (it's not too bad) so I'd rather plug some small gaps with supplements.

I've been lifting for strength again for 2 years now, and while it shows in my strength and endurance, that's about the only place it shows. "He's a lot stronger than he looks" is an unintentionally backhanded compliment I've gotten used to.

Xbone plus the wireless dongle.

I'm gonna be honest, not a huge fan of the left stick placement on PS controllers. It's too far in

Might get a wired XBone controller, have they fixed the dpad?

The only problem with Xbone controller are the R1/L1 (whatever the Xbox buttons are) they're not full push-able. I like to hit the sides, more to the centre of the controller but it doesn't work so it's just a bit annoying.

This was also fixed in the most recent revision. They are more "clickable" now.

Yep, and the triggers are much nicer.
Sick, I'll get one tomorrow then. And probably more board games because I have a problem

OH MAN I'm not the only person who still says L1/L2

Fuck this bumper/trigger garbage

Nutritional science is still basically in its infancy.

Of course, you won't find any disagreement here.

Most supplementation is useless unless you are in a risk category or confirmed deficient by blood tests is all I'm trying to say.

Sure, I can agree with that. The key point is then the determination of risk categories and confirmed deficiencies -- which many people do not know about until they get tested. That, of course, opens up a whole other question of test efficacy and health outcomes.

Blue is the complement color to natural browns of skin and hair. That's part of why blue/orange is such a common movie poster color grading, and also why blue-skinned aliens are more common than others.

That would be the best of both worlds if you asked me, having the increased strength without the obtrusive bulk. I guess people just have different ideals though. I'm not trying to impose, just curious where that ideal comes from.

Are xbone controllers smaller than 360 controllers? I forget

same size more or less

I think that's a really good compliment, actually :) I have too many friends that need to bulk excessively for strength gains.

What's your daily routine?

If you can find one, I'd recommend the Lunar White or Forza 6 edition controllers. They have tactile hand grips and feel really great.

although my lunar white one has developed a sticky button and squeaky trigger.. >:O

So here's a hypothetical question for everyone in here: How do you feel about banning "news-tainment" personalities from political events? This is based on some recent news, whereby the local government banned an inflammatory personality from political junkets normally reserved for the press, and has since rescinded that ban.

I don't think anyone should be banned from political events.

Nah, freedom of the blah blah blah... I guess.

Really though it's hard to have perspective on speech bans living in America.

For most men strength is a desirable trait, combined with the fact that if you put a lot of work into something you want it to show.

What's your daily routine?

Mon - Wed - Fri is 20 on the exercise bike and then compound lifts with an accessory or two. Basically a modified Starting Strength routine.

Tues and Thurs is 45 to an hour on the exercise bike. Found out I have tachycardia a few years ago so the bike work is mainly for my heart, figured it would be the smart thing long term.

And then I drink many liters of beer on the weekend.
