Going to start Oh! Edo Rocket right now. Going in without knowing anything so wish me luck!
Give it at least a 2 episode test, iirc the first ep is kinda sucky for some reason.

Everytime I come into the thread, we're talking about something new. Thread is so hard to follow! There's nothing to discuss!
Which is exactly why big shows will be getting their own threads, when they start up.

Makes more sense than Blond + Black = Pink.

You're wrong. There's everything to discuss. Just because material is on another page doesn't mean you can't bring it back, and neither does it mean you can't introduce something yourself.

Oh! Edo Rocket Episode 03:
What. Don't tell me Will Smith is going to show up.

Macross 7 episode 1: what is this I don't even

The key to enjoying Macross 7 is to embrace the cheese, to hang in there until things really start to pick up around Episode 14: "Fighting Female Mayor Miria", and to remember that the payoff is amazing. Also, like Shouta says: LISTEN TO MY SONG!

If I got anything out of this it's that blue hair + green hair = pink hair

Just watched Shiki 11 and I'm confused, was the ending of that episode a preview of what what is going to happen next week, or was that the end and they just tied all the loose ends somewhat in 60 seconds?

o.O

if you really did want to use it for another forum or something, go nuts.
i've got a hundred of em and they do me no good in photobucket. >_>

AD Police 4 - Even though Kenji slid his motorcycle under a fallen building to save the rest of his team against a squad of boomers wielding nothing but a pistol at the beginning of the episode, he too can be a team player if the situation calls for it. After all, hacking security cameras isn't the job of the alpha badass.

Oh, and a tip for the audio people. Even though it may say "violin" on your synth instrument list, don't use it when a girl onscreen is playing an actual violin.

So, in Sunday/Monday's Keroro episode... suddenly the space police is a corrupt force that doesn't care about civilian casualties and used fake charges to make people obey their will. I love mood whiplash in this show.

Too bad I can see it not lasting much longer, considering the way Bandai has thrown it aside and half of the show airs at late night now in favor of SD Gundam in the Saturdays. Although, I guess if it survives this year, it pretty much will become an endless series.

Just finished Tower of Druaga: Sword of Uruk

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE

Typical anime ending. The series was pretty decent though.

Why didn't he pick Fatina!?

That spoiler wasn't a surprise at all... although I didn't like it much either.

Watched the last episode of Uraboku.
I wish people that always talk about how shitty this or that show is actually watched Uraboku from start to end, as it would help in lowering the bar quite a bit. Bad just doesn't convey it in full.
A show so useless, empty and ugly, and they made 24 episodes of it.
Strike Witches is art of the highest degree compared to this.

Ah, it looks like the Nanoha movie blu-ray and DVD will have English subtitles! Import friendly so grab if you wish!

Bluray/DVD specs are on the official site:

as resident president of the nanoha fanclub, I'm extremely excited to purchase this and then never reveal its existence to any living person.

does shadow Raichu look sexually excited?

No, there's simply a man who has transformed into a small ferret moving around in her pants. deep and thought provoking.

It only gets more crazy from there, still an awesome show though. Keep meaning to get the soundtrack from MVM's site.

I just ordered the Paranoia Agent soundtrack from Right Stuf for $5. If you're overseas the shipping probably isn't worth the bargain, but you might want to look into it.

Just got the first episode on disc for 40p. What a strange release.

Ah well, time for a rewatch.

Maybe it's one of those future violins, that looks identical to the traditional version but actuall-

What am I even saying.

Fun fact: Male Raichus reproduce by linking their tails with the females and discharging 1000 volts to their mate's bodies.

Speaking of paranoia agent i just finished re-watching the first three episodes. Show is still as great as it was back in 2005. (the year i first watched it). I'm curious to how I'll feel about the series in the second half now, as i recall being disappointed in the direction the series took there. Now that my taste is somewhat more refined now, who knows.

Third episode is still my favorite episode of the series - i absolutely love the split-personality theme, and some parts of it remind me a lot of perfect blue. And i find the start of the episode to be amusing in how it cuts to shots of anime figurines.:lol

It'd be nice if Nanoha was an actual magical girl show and not just going through the motions. What a soulless series.
Look.
Hito, I like you. You seem like an intelligent guy. When I see you post, I actually stop to read.

But sometimes your taste in genre's can be so mind-numbly wrong that I weep when I imagine the toil that must consist of your day to day life. Nanoha is the peek of a genre that had begun to stagnate. its strength in characterizations and its strong roots in action-comedy drive consistent story arcs within the overarching series that interconnect with each other and flesh out the universe as a living thing. Above all it does this while continuing to introduce a strong and large cast of characters without resorting to meaningless filler.

magical girl shows wish they could be nanoha.

Would still work out cheaper depending on how much shipping is, it's £13 on anime-on-line (which I would have thought to be some iffy site til I saw an advert for it packed in with Paranoia Agent and Trigun boxset).

:lol Where from? Bargain. Anime-on-line have volumes 1, 3 and 4 for 99p and 2 for a tenner which ends up working out cheaper than the boxset. Y'know, just incase someone from the UK is reading this and interested in getting it, which they should be.

I agree actually, it got abit crazy and more one shotty towards the end (I'm still not sure what the hell was happening in the final episode). They're all really good though.

Nanami was redeemed for me in the end.
She never needed redemption!

It seems odd that Madhouse would make HSOTD into a 12 episode show only, as it seems like a property that's pretty likely to make money.

Or are Madhouse just naturally conservative?

It's probably because the manga isn't finished. They should have waiting till near completion before turning it into an anime.

True, but didn't they also condense some plot-lines to make it go faster?

I guess they didn't want to wait around in case the zombie-fad finally died out. I guess the fanservice-theme lives forever though.

Well they also had a 15 minute recap around episode 3. I don't think they planned it out too well and the series suffered because of it. If they end up continuing it I hope they just reboot it with a nice layed out plan and keep the zombie action balanced with the thighs and cleavage. Also the Zombie genre is eternal and never dies!

Lol, lol, lol at Occult Academy episode 12, I caught up on the "best series" of the season, ugh.

God this show never ever got good. First off, I so called the Vice-Principle chick being a good-guy although I didn't think she'd transform into an actual white mage complete with hat and staff.

Everything else was fucking retarded. If her father could make a diary that was so strong the holder couldn't be hurt, well, what the fuck, why not make one for the white mage bitch as well and just steamroll the evil bitch? Why all the running? And if she was going to open the pathway to hell why would she care if Maya ran away? If Maya wasn't going to stop her what could she do once hell was unleashed or whatever? Not like she'd be a big threat then.

And I love the guys in the future, if the future changed why would they still be in some shitty situational room? "Oh, lets look outside guys!" No, fuckwits, you'd be working at a Diary Queen or something now. Just what fucking job in the future would have all of you sitting in that room?

I don't really care what it does with it's last episode. Be it that they succeeded in stopping the apocalypse but just in that dimension and it has no effect on the other dimension, whether the aliens invading was unrelated to the school blowing up and the key and the war starts anyways or what, I don't really care.

Indeed. Zombie movie remakes. Zombie comedies. Zombies in video game levels. Video-games excursively about zombies that all arrived in a small space of time. Zombie comic books getting made for television. Even delightful songs about zombies and plants. Zombie comic books Marvel things. And finally zombie anime and manga. There's never been quite the proliferation of zombie related...stuff.

But such is the cycle of popular media. Some ideas just don't stay down.

Damn, I really wish I had kept up. Sounds suitably...dumb? I don't often use that word, but it sounds like they were just throwing stuff out there.

Seriously though, it's pretty clear what Nanoha's target audience is and what their interests are and are not.
What are you trying to say about anime fans, huh?
