I suppose it depends on how much of an attachment you have to your classes.
What's interesting about using the high school context is that, assuming everyone watching this stuff aren't teenagers, it's all coloured by nostalgia anyway.

I wonder where they'll truncate Hourou Musuko's story. It's really a narrative that can go on for a long time and length only makes it better. It's more like a biopic, or a documentary, than a story.

But it's not the kind of thing that will sell bucket loads to fund some 50+ episodes.

I'm kind of worried about Musuko because the director did the first Kara no Kyoukai movie (which is one of the worse out of that seven-movie set), and when the best show you've done is Ga-Rei Zero, it's rather worrying. But the source material is so strong...

Oh definitely, mono no aware is ingrained into japanese culture. It's in their food, their media, their daily life. You'd be hard pressed to find something without it. Manga paneling often reeks of mono no aware.

Although there's also the other extreme where you get batshit insane things like that "Japan: Superior" image macro.

Fantastic Children was an awesome show, but damn it was no crowd pleaser. I felt really bad for the main character by the end.
