The worst part is I do get them and they end up on my ipod (because specifing any folder other than C: for my library is too much work) and I can be on the bus and randomly start listening to j-trance versions of the gurren lagann opening 1 or one piece opening 2 or if I'm really lucky Phantom of the Opera.

To be fair they're actually pretty awesome. Especially Phantom of the Opera.

Would say Kare Kano, but the anime was pretty bad. Manga was excellent.

Might try Nodame Cantabile.

Probably my favorite Shoujo of the past 5 years.

Basic Story (from Wiki)

Megumi Noda, or "Nodame" is a piano student at Momogaoka College of Music. An extremely talented pianist who wants to be a preschool teacher, she prefers playing by ear rather than reading the music score. She is messy and disorganized, takes baths several days apart and loves to eat, sometimes stealing her friend's lunchbox when it is filled with delicacies.

Shinichi Chiaki is Momogaoka's top student. Born into a musical family, he is talented in piano and violin and has secret ambitions to become a conductor. An arrogant multi-lingual perfectionist who once lived abroad in the music capitals of the world as a young boy (namely Prague), he is trapped in Japan because of his childhood phobia of airplanes and the ocean.

They meet by accident. Nodame quickly falls in love, but it takes much longer for Chiaki to even begin to appreciate Nodame's unusual qualities. Their relationship causes them both to develop and grow. Along the way, they meet some crazy people (like Masumi, Mine, and Stresemann) and make lasting friendships. Because of Nodame, Chiaki gets the opportunity to lead a student orchestra and begins to have a broader appreciation of people's musical abilities. Because of Chiaki, Nodame faces her fears and enters a piano competition. Opportunities open up as both begin taking risks, stretching themselves far more than they ever thought possible.

What's the recommended watch-in-this-order list for LOGH?

OVA 110 episode is all that matters. But you can watch movie 1 > OVA series.

Watching LOGH makes me sad the Infinite Space stuff are just 5 min shorts.

A Infinite space anime series would have sucked ass if one of the two studios (you know the one) that did the shorts did it.

I didn't realise two different studios did them. I only remember the first one then all I remember is being pretty pissed off because one of them was a massive spoiler.

23 for the first season.

11 for season 2 and 3. First season does have enough of a conclusion that if it's not your thing you can stop.

I've only seen the live action version of Nodame Cantabile, so I can't say how the anime is.

Quon plays music for Kamina. He likes it. Itsuki acts like a creep and kisses Haruka while Kamina watches. Kamina just stares like the dull non-character he is. The Mu on the moon finally does something and starts calling to Quon. She flashes back to her childhood. She's pregnant with an egg or something and NERV Yankee is there. Also she's outside of that secret portal place, with Kamina's mom apparently. I guess she's pretty old then.

Kamina uses Rahxephon to throw the lance shoot the bow of Longinus at the Mu and kills it. I liked this episode a lot better in Evangelion.

It's definitely not limited to Final Fantasy. There's a new "Top X" list that shows up every few weeks (granted, they're not made by GAF) and people usually feel the need to correct that list or make their own. The Best Video Game music thread was pretty good though.
