Precisely why the movie ending is great. It had already gotten ridiculous by that point (Light's ridiculous plot to gain L's trust) but the mental contortions required to even believe some of the stuff that happened in the 2nd half had gotten to ridiculous levels.

I couldn't stand the Nodame drama, but I have that problem with all Japanese live action shows.

Pft, Nodame drama had...

I liked all the iterations of Nodame, but would probably put the manga at the bottom. Live action and anime were both great adaptations and you could actually hear the music.

They really wrote themselves into a corner with Death Note, there was no way to end it without it seeming ridiculously contrived.
Ending it at around episode 26. Would have made for a good ending.

There's a reason why there are so many Nicovideo memes dedicated to it.

Death Note was a decent read even with the shitty ending. I can't fathom how anyone could have taken the anime's pacing, even considering how much they hammed everything up.

Tinypic works again, right?

The epic potato chip.

I would honestly say the pacing was amazing considering they turned a 108 chapter manga into a 37 episode anime.

And them hamming it up was the best part. The potato chip scene is legendary.

But Azumanga, and Lucky Star, if someone gets wise, is 4koma. It doesn't really have any overarching story. So comparison of source to anime is rather weird.
Whether it's better or worse than its source, the Lucky Star anime was good, but I never read its counterpart so I wouldn't know.

Where's the Fuko transformation? I know you have it somewhere :lol

Or going by the reviews on that site - easy targets for emotional manipulation.
It's why music is so important to induce a gullible person into a prone emotional state. Example (music spoiler for Air TV).

Can anyone tell me why Clannad after story is the top rated anime on Anime News Network?
A few reasons already mentioned above.

Also, Azumanga manga and anime are both pretty distinct in how they do their humor despite the fact that they both use the exact same jokes, and many jokes become better/worse depending on the medium. The Osaka knife scene is 1000x better in the anime for example.

no

Lucky Star was boring, imo. It was like Gintama in that it had a lot of random references, I guess... except that Gintama is funny even if you don't get a lot of the nerd easter eggs. K-ON was a definitely an improvement, and I'm curious to see how Nichijou will turn out.

As long as they don't spend time animating Key crap, I'm fine. We all know FMP won't happen again for quite some time, anyways.

If only I could eat chips like Light-kun. It would've made losing fifty bucks tonight easier when the fucking Packers lost. And I had to pay $180 on top of that for a broken window on my car. ;_;

Infinite Ryvius 8

That's an... interesting uniform.

I think this is the Infinite Ryvius version of that School Days screencap.

Good news, hardcore gamers. People will still be using Sega Saturn controls two centuries from now.

This show leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Particularly this one.

I kinda want to see Little Busters! animated though. ):
Not high on my list of "things that must be animated" list (the top slot belongs to Global Astroliner), but yeah, that'd be interesting.

To spread the Index love... and because this thread has too much moe but needed more anyways:

Will I have to watch Railgun to understand Index season 2? I reallllllllllllly don't want to.
Nope. Looks like it's going straight to the Amakusa Catholics > teleporter arcs, so Railgun knowledge won't be necessary. Thankfully.

Railgun was fine though. I don't get the hate. :lol

People were disappointed because they didn't animate any of the Sisters arc and instead had all this slice of life fluff instead. The ending (last arc) was hilarious however :lol

Only thing I remember about the last episode is Beato troll face.

Ah, adaptation angst. I take it that the Sisters arc is very important then?

Touma has a pretty big harem, it's not like he just has to choose between Misaka or Index. He can go for a real woman like Kanzaki, for one.

Wow, now I've gone from not caring about this show to actively hating it, that didn't take long!
Stuff it slutface! You should at least watch some of it before hating it for no reason and it's not actually a good representation of the show since those are pretty much made for every anime that airs.
