Amagami SS - why do I keep watching? Oh well, yet another girl/trope, yet another conquest for the true dating sim God.

I thought they were going to go a bit wild again and maybe tell the story completely from her perspective, but I guess that'd be a bit too much.

And yet it doesn't seem like you'll stop watching this show.

I'm surprised you didn't comment on Miya doing the nishishi laugh even in childhood. I thought that was really amusing. And a magic spell to make someone into a meat bun?

I'm still enjoying this show. I also like Ryouko Shintani's VA so that's a plus.

I was about to say a similar response.

Of all the shows I've been keeping up with in a timely fashion, Amagami SS is one of them. So strange.

They could still tell the story through Rihoko entirely, but I guess they got lazy when they had to fulfill their daily quota of giving all girls their usual time onscreen.

It was a genuinely good episode and could be the best arc so far. If only they were more creative with each girls' appearance.

Young Miya was hilarious. Meat buns are good but they can be quite fattening.

Infinite Ryvius 25 :

Well, I see this played how out largely how one might expect with Kouji/Jesus making his grand gesture.

Some strange late game revelations I suppose, largely relating to Neya. Oh, and Ikumi, did you just say you had incestuous feelings for your sister?

Blue managed to be bad-ass again, even if he was in the episode for like forty seconds.

Also, the whole last battle was kind of weak. We never really understood the mechanics behind the enemy ship or how it would ever be possible to beat it. It was just REALLY STRONG and kept on HEALING. That's a bit lame.

Infinite Ryvius 26 :

The end, and afterwards. A lot of which seems all right, Kouji being different, hanging out with Aoi and all that.

Although girls did ask for Yuki's autograph : further proof that this whole universe is retarded if people think Yuki is awesome. I can't accept this for one moment.

The show had pretty explicitly mentioned that the Ryvius was immobile before, so I'm not surprised that they required the crew again.

Still, a number of these candidates seem...questionable. I do believe that some of them should be in prison, counselling, or counselling in prison.

SHUT UP NO BODY CARES ABOUT YOU STUPID TWINS.

MORE SPOOR. MORE CRAZY CAT WOMAN.

"Samson's pride or my enjoyment. It's obvious which is more important to you."
:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Does anyone here buy figures? I'd like to know what sites you use. So far I've found 1999/HobbySearch, Amiami, HLJ, and Otacute - these sites have the figures that I'd like to buy but their prices are actually pretty different, and maybe I could find better deals or cheaper shipping somewhere else that I don't know of.

I'd ask in the GAF figure thread but it's mostly dead.

He did indeed. In fact he implied they were reciprocal. I suppose it does explain the odd thing of him always remembering his sister naked, though. I had just been assuming it was an anime thing.

I assumed the point of the enemy ship was that it defied conventional logic. Which is why Heigar freaked out.

To be fair, at least those girl didn't know Yuki personally. It's the ones who know him still liking him that's inexplicable.

Well, at least Faina wasn't on the ship, apparently. I don't understand the logic of not having adults on board as well though.

Seeing Kouji punch someone was nice.

So.

When did Studio 4C hijack gainax?

Man that was just depressing.

Minky Momo creator collapses at train station before being rushed to hospital

Legend of the Galactic Heroes producer Masatoshi Tahara and translator Dan Kanemitsu report that Minky Momo creator and Pokémon writer Takeshi Shudo passed away. He was 61 years old. Shudo had been rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery after he collapsed at the Nara railway station's smoking area in Nara City on Thursday. The hospital's emergency care center determined that he had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage in his head.

Shudo created the Fairy Princess Minky Momo television anime series and worked on many of its spinoffs. He later supervised the scripts on the original Pokémon television anime series and wrote several of the movies, including the first three. His other works include Idol Tenshi Youkoso Yoko, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Martian Successor Nadesico, and Tokusou Kihei Dorvack. As recently as this year, he was working with Dogakobo and Gonzo on a new character project called Cheer Figu!

I didn't mind her voice for the most part, but it was very unusual sounding. The narrator made it the best arc though. :lol

Yeah, I've already slowed down on a lot from this season but I still want to watch this. I mean, I think the premise is insidious but I keep tuning in just in case they do something insane - like the dude tripping balls in the last arc.

The nishishi laugh will be the next big thing, surely!

Honey and clover II 1 - Ohh, a recap episode to start the season of? good since i swear i forgot what happened at the end of S1 anyway. Good thing this recap refreshed my memory. And man it reminded me of how awesome H&C was.<3

Yosuga no Sora 4 (Kazuha arc): Not bad. I guess the ending was pretty obvious but hey, at least Haruka scored!

To bad they're rewinding to episode 2 next week. So that allows them to, what, go through 4 girl arcs in total? Maybe 5.

So it's like Amagami? What happened to the days when you devoted the whole series to one heroine, and pissed off all the other fanboys?

Times are changing!

I guess people are sick of the hero dicking around with all the girls and never picking so instead of just going with one girl this format lets the producers explore all of them!

Also that many more sex scenes. I wonder if Yosuga no Sora is going to have an uncensored version.

The next step would be bromance arcs.

School Valentine Days gots you covered!

To Aru Majutsu no Index II:

I can't bear watching girls like that getting hurt by the dozens, especially when they hurt themselves.

Panty and Stocking

Episode 9: Honestly, probably the first episode I wasn't too crazy about. The entire fight with the ghost was pretty awesome at least, but other than that, meh

Episode 10: I... um... well that certainly was something completely different. Awesome, but different. And yet it somehow fits into this show like a glove :lol

Pokémon Best Wishes! 7: Why are the generic routes between towns always forests? I never see mountainous paths, deserts, or even highways. Also, Smugleaf is so tsundere for Ash.

Heartcatch Precure! 7: Girl dresses like boy but wants to be girly, that's new. Tsubomi is gay?

Why do you keep lying? This is a shitty ass Studio Deen anime. It has nothing to do with what any normal person would consider the "ROD staff" which would be Koji Masunari and Hideyuki Kurata working together. No one cares if Kurata is writing another crappy manga adaptation or if Masashi Ishihama is doing the animation character designs.

You got me all excited for nothing, nor go to the corner and stand there as punishment.

Woah, woah, woah, I merely rearranged your list in the order I would rank those particular shows, that's not my list, my list wouldn't have Star Driver, Panty and Stocking, Samurai Girls, The World God Only Knows or MM! on it. That said, Squid Girl might still be on the top, I don't mean to imply that it's a great show merely that everything this season is pretty poor. If I were to make a ranking now I'd do it as so:

Squid Girl - admittedly nothing special but I think it is what it is, I don't foresee the formula being changed any nor is the show still really building anything resembling a plot so I think it's safe to say that the past episodes are fair representations of future episodes.

Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru - Not saying this is great just that it comes in second in this abysmal season, seems like it's still building it's core cast so I actually still have a little hope for it but we'll see, it may suck.

Toaru Majutsu no Index II - I fully admit that the suck to good ratio on this show will probably heavily lean towards the suck, regardless I will watch it because there's a few things I know are coming up I want to see animated.

Kuragehime - We got one episode, it's placement here is to both make my list an even four and also represents the hope I have that it will be decent.

That's how crappy I think this season is, where a children's show like Squid Girl that I think is nothing special is currently the best show actually on, in my opinion of course.

In all reality, OreImo might be consistently more enjoyable than Index and deserve a place on my list but I have absolutely no real desire to watch that pandering bullshit. Index is pandering bullshit as well but at least it has some cool fights every once in a while and they're not related or making romantic drama with middle schoolers, God damnit. Well, at least it's not a middle schooler related to the main character.

We agree on a few things, then -- incest fanservice is awful and I don't want to watch that either, and this season is not good.

At least it's looking better than last season, though. I don' think I got past three or four episodes of any of last season's shows... I will watch more than that this season.

As for Index II, I didn't watch the first season, but I did watch the first six or seven episodes of Railgun. It was alright but not great, and I lost interest after a while. I doubt Index II would be any better, so I haven't watched it.

When was it ever out of the timeline?

What I found more perplexing was that in the space of 50 years there were apparently only 4 notable singers.

Yays, not so different after all!

Index is kinda worse than Railgun, Railgun was more consistent with it's quality while Index fluctuates all over the place. Like I said, watching Index is more about seeing it through than the anime being legitimately good, I know some good things are coming up so I'll suffer through the bad parts to see them, that kind of thing. But I don't see how it can be worse than fucking Samurai Girls, but whatever.

Railgun, Index, OreImo, Samurai Girls and so many other shows, you know what I hate the most that they have in common? The fucking male lead that falls on the female and lands in some embarrassing position usually with a hand or two on a breast or his face in their panties or some combination of the two. I'm no expert in falling and haven't fallen in a long time, outside of work where my vehicle stops every once in a while and throws me off the piece of shit, but of all the times I've ever fallen onto or towards someone's general direction I instinctively avoid that, I either don't want to be an ass and take them down with me or don't want to be a bigger ass and grab a breast or land my face into some dude's cock, either way I think a normal, competent, reasonably intelligent male would have to purposely fall on a woman to end up in that position, it just doesn't really happen on accident. It drives me nuts when I see this in anime as it's as implausible as vampires when it happens once and more unrealistic than time travel, aliens, magic, whatever when there's a character who does it repeatedly. Seriously. Show of hands from guys who have "accidentally" fallen onto a girl, or boy really, like that. Any? And if you did it on purpose put your hand back down. That's what I thought. This is probably the most unrealistic depiction of human behavior I see in anime.

It's even more absurd when it's someone like Touma from Index or some other character who at this point is reasonably nimble through fighting that they should be able to avoid being drug down by a girl half their weight or feel the need to brace their own fall with their tits.

That said I can't help but finish Index and as much as I hate to say it I actually like Misaka even though she's a middle schooler as much as it pains me to say so.

You haven't seen the ending of Sailor Moon, have you... "I will not fight you, ever, and that is how I will win! You know that my refusal to fight, even after you kill every one of my friends, will turn you to the side of good in the end!" And of course in the end Sailor Moon is right and that's exactly what happens. Gah, it was so, so incredibly annoying...

Does that show show how absurd Sailor Moon's ending was, or something?
