I however

FUCKING HATE FALLOUT BOY!. I did not know of them until one of my good freinds linked me to their version of "beat it". Lets just say i was not a happy camper. And im not gonna listen to their new single cuz im still not happy.

HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE

Get ready for the haters who come into the thread even though they don't like the band at all!

Thanks for the link. I didn't buy this off iTunes yet. But it sounds really great. Loving the deep singing.

Fuck the haters. Fall Out Boy is one of the most consistently good bands in their GENRE (keyword there). Always catchy and fun to listen to.

i love the part where its piano, like that ballad part. love the melody. especially when they do it at the end of the song. LOVE it

I've been a fan since "Take this to your Grave". I sincerely thought it was a great album at the time. They kinda lost me with "Infinity on High"..

But I'm sorry, this is just getting pathetic. This song doesn't sound terrible (Who am I kidding it does..) but hell.. DO NOT WANT.

EDIT: I'll give a few more listens.. but so far, the new stuff isn't doing it for me.

<3 fall out boy

The AbsolutePunk.net thread is pretty funny. 90% of people are like "that's awesome", then you have a group of people like "I've lost all respect for this band". It's insane.

i must be seeing things as this tread is missing tons of hate for FOB:lol :lol

pretty good single but i do agree that TTTYG was their best album.their new stuff aint terrible by any means though.:D

Put me in the "love Fall Out Boy" category.

I do not like this on first listen. It is WAY over produced and sounds like something that would have been a B-Side from Infinity on High. I've heard some other songs (I Don't Care and especially Lake Effect Kid) that sound amazing. It's sad to me that this song doesn't live up to them. Lake Effect Kid sounds like a throw back to TTTYG and FUCT, and I like that sound more.

Lake Effect Kid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvI4NxbdwDk

The audio is from the Welcome to the New Administration mixtape so please ignore all the stupid airplane flyovers and breaking glass sound effects, and the obnoxious DJ shouting. The song itself is amazing.

THIS!

the song has some of the best instrument work ive ever heard from them. this should have been their first single.

cant wait for some guitar tabs to come out for this song.:D

It's not even ON the album (unless they changed the name)! It'll be the best B-Side for sure.

yea, some of the b-sides they have made have been waaaaaaaaaay better than the stuff on the cd

Yeah, I'm a little annoyed Lake Effect Kid and ALPHAdog/OMGEAlomaniac aren't on the album.

The only part of lyrics I can make anything out of in Fall Out Boy songs is the part with the song title in it.

Why can't the singer sing proper english? It's like having my grandpa mumble and stutter something while he has a hot potato in his mouth.

umm if none of you have gone to check out the official site... they posted a story yesterday saying the album was delayed until the 19th of December... :(

omfg btw that new song is sweet, i love how it has other songs in with it. you can hear him (and others) sing:
headfirst slide into cooperstown on a bad bet

and then later:
grand theft autumn
sugar we're going down
dance, dance
this aint a scene its an arms race
thanks for the memories
growing up

this is fan service at its best. we now have the equivalent of metal gear solid 4 except for fall out boy fans.

heres a link to a 256kb version of What a Catch, Donnie

EDIT again: the singers

* Elvis Costello - Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet
* Gabe Saporta - Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy
* Travis McCoy - Sugar, We're Goin' Down
* Brendon Urie - Dance, Dance
* Doug Does - This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race
* Alex DeLeon (The Cab) - Thnks Fr Th Mmrs
* William Beckett - Growing Up

definitely some people you guys might know, panic at the disco, gym class heroes, academy is, WOW

"This Land Is Soaked With the Blood of my Slit Throat"

"Copper pennies Glistening on a Soundstage"

"When I Bought the Button, the Pin pierced through my Bulletproof Vest"

"Calling a Car a Truck When the Dog Just Ate its Last Meal"

"Tae Bo Will End Us All"

I think I'm getting the hang of naming songs these days.

Better Fall Out Boy instead of Britney Spears. :P

Fall Out Boy is the Britney Spears of "rock/pop punk/whatever they think they are". They have the generic music and tabloid hollywood lifestyles just the same.

I see Pete Wentz everytime I'm on line paying for groceries on the cover of all of those magazines.

I Don't Care is a pretty cool track, but Headfirst is a mess. I really wish their lyrics made sense. I Don't Care's almost do.
