Fallout 3 Developer Interview

Caspel

Did a search and didn't find anything on this.

Xbox Evolved / Playstation Insider did a developer interview with Bethesda regarding Fallout 3. It is 20 minutes long

Linkage to article: Fallout 3 Dev Interview

The interview is kind of busy with other people in the background mingling, but from what i can tell... decent. My codecs for Media Player is being horrible so some of it cuts out for me.

Also, here are their hands-on impressions of the game following the review.

Fallout 3 Hands-On from Demonstration

*edit*
For those who can't view the article, maybe this direct link to the WMV will work.

is this the same game that received best game of show E3 07 from IGN? If so I am confused.

My video cuts off 3/4s into it. In any case, this is the same interview that this following link typed out all the info (and seemed to add misinformation regarding Tactics*):

http://www.strategycore.co.uk/e3/pg/07fallout3

*The site claims that they're incorporating parts of the Tactics story into FO3, which shouldn't be true when the developers have been quoted multiple times saying something akin to "We're making the game as if Tactics and BoS never happened".

ahh okay, I am not able to see the video because of Quicktime ruining my Media Player, so only have audio.

Decent interview.

Plus it also has the benefit of comedic relief, in the form of some German journalists that are absolutely obsessed with shooting kids and having sex (I kid you not).

Typical Fallout fans.

I actually thought this one had more interesting questions:

there's no way that interview is better based on quality in your opinion. I think it is based on because you are affiliated with AMN. Don't troll your own please if you do in fact work for them.

Five amazing new Bioshock videos

Amazing gameplay footage as always, now book-ended by instructional bits rendered in a cartoon style that do a wonderful job of hitting that...

Im not affiliated with AMN, they are just one of several sites I frequent, and they dont often get posted on these forums so I link for those who might be interested. I could link to IGN, Gamespot, and 1up, but there's not really a point when everyone else already has now is there.

I do think the interview I presented is better, because I think the questions are more interesting. I can read a fact sheet about features, Im more interested in the REASONS for certain features and design choices, the designer's vision for the game, their feelings regarding mature content and the current tension with the ESRB, and other issues.

Hearing that 'yes, there will be this and that' or 'no, there wont be that' isnt particularly interesting to me.

I guess I haven't said my piece on this game since the info has started coming in. Things are looking good, according to the E3 showing and the GI article. With that said, Oblivion sounded like it would be a good game from its previews, too. I'm more up on the game, but there's still the worrying Bethesda track record.

I'm really looking forward to Fallout, don't get me wrong, but I think they need to get off of everybody's radar now...

Hell, the game is over a year away... I'd be happy to see the Fallout 3 news taper off and resurface as we hit Spring next year... I was stoked with the trailer, some sweet details, and strong previews.

There's just so much commentary and guessing... but maybe it only seems like that when you follow the enthusiast press and various forums.
