Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 - Teaser Trailer

Man. I was hoping for a New Vegas remaster. I never played it and looked into buying it on Steam before season two of the show comes out. Graphically, that game looks baaaaad. Might try it if theres a good enough VR mod for it.

You can make New Vegas look awesome with very few mods.

Well, useful thread I suppose.
The posters legit excited for this aren't serious gamers, and I can ignore their takes in other threads in the future.
You had years and years to play this game, but now that it is on hardware that won't even run it very well you are hyped?
Or if it is one of your favorite games ever, and you just want to play it again, you would be much better off custom modding it on PC.

OP made a thread about a game he's excited for, and you pop in just to post this? That's a real dick move.

And if you really thought this warranted ignoring someone, you'd just silently ignore them instead of posting this. You just had to show everyone how much of a "serious" gamer you are, huh?

Day 1

FO4 ain't my favorite. Never even beat it. But I definitely had some fun and this is an excuse to revisit it. Something I've been meaning to do for quite some time.

It sounds like a great handheld game since you can easily put hundreds of hours into it

Please give us NV next

I really like fallout 4. Glad some folks will get to play it.

Anyone know if there will be an upgrade pack for the pc version or other updates like fixing the 60 fps cap?

Wow, I can't believe that a Nintendo console is gonna get another >10 year old port of a mediocre game!
Purchased redeemed for sure.

Fallout 4 is a great game (though not a great RPG), and after playing it on Steam Deck for years, I can say it's a perfect fit for a handheld. I'm happy for all the Nintendo players who haven't had the chance to experience it yet.

It definitely is a perfect fit for handheld. Fallout 4 sucks for story and roleplaying. It excels at being a fun open world playground with power fantasy progression. Not perfect in any sense but still a good time.

I hate that grenades can't be used in VATS and weapon/armor variety is lacking without creation club purchases / mods. This ultimate edition will address the latter thankfully.

My experience with it on Steam Deck was not positive. The framerate would randomly tank when entering or exiting buildings and required a restart to fix it. After 40ish hours I gave up.

Had a similarly poor experience with Fallout 3 but that was crashing.

Played this game a decade ago? Who is even excited for this especially when paying the nintendo tax is involved?

I always lock it to 40FPS for consistency.

Exec 1: "So the Fallout series' Season 2 is gonna take place in Vegas. You know what we should do, right?"

Exec 2: "Awww Yeah—let's do Fallout 4 anniversary!"

Exec 1: "GENIUS!"

The game is out if someone care:

It have 60fps, 40fps and 30fps mode, so seems a decent effort from the devs.

I know this is basically an idiocracy theme park or circus version of Fallout, but I have such a soft spot for this game. It's dumb but it's FUN.

It's….actually a decent port. I'm genuinely shocked after how lazy and terrible the Skyrim port was.

Yeah, I don't know why they rushed out the Skyrim port. If they had just waited and released it in the condition that it's in now, post-patch, the reception would have been an order of magnitude more positive.

My only guess is they knew they were releasing Fallout in February and wanted to give Skyrim its moment in the sun first, which, in retrospect, kinda backfired.
