Fallout 4 Glitch Thread

Warning to everyone: There's some character spoilers in there if that matters to you.

That said, some of these are hilarious. Love the first one and the Smooth Criminal one. Hope I get them.

I thought you'd encourage people to post theirs, but I'm greeted with a wealth of Glitches in the OP, good work!

Is this a modified version of whatever engine Skyrim was using? If so, it would be interesting to see if some glitches managed to transfer between the two games intact.

I have a glitch right now where my character is completely stuck after leaving the pod. How great is that? I can't even look around lol.

Luckily that was just an alt character, but it's still pretty stupid.

My Fallout experience in about 1/3 of my building transitions/game loads. I have absolutely no clue what is going on. GTX 760, latest drivers, nothing special going on. Started happening consistently after a good 3 to 4 hours.

Stuff like dead enemies getting stuck in the ground and flapping around like crazy never bothered me much. Gives me a good laugh if anything.

I don;t mind bugs and glitches unless they break the game or hinder my progress.

Big bug I've discovered (PC version): reloading a quicksave doesn't put the world back the way it way in entirety. Examples: climb up steps, get killed by landmine, reload quicksave, run back to steps where I was killed, now the mine is gone.

That first video isn't a glitch, the deathclaw just hit those bears so hard it smacked them into the future and fucked up the immediate vicinity's spacetime continuum. They unfreeze if you wait about 4 hours to catch up with them.

Well I was getting stuck at every computer terminal after using it.

Apparantly due to high frame rates though. Was running at 120fps, once i locked it at 60fps it appears to fix it

AC: Unity ships with glitches and there's an outrage.

Fallout 4 ships with glitches and everybody laughs it off because "lol Bethesda."

I had a bug where I picked up a shotgun off a raider right outside of Concord, and as soon as I aimed down the sights, the game teleported me instantly to where I aimed. Couldn't recreate it but it was pretty cool I guess

I have had that happen only once.

The stuck subtitle issue is completely retarded.

Especially since you can produce it consistently in an early part of the game (the Freedom Museum). How the heck the QA players in Bethesda missed that? Truly idiotic :/

Using invisibility also makes the whole pip boy screen invisible with no text or pictures. This is a glitch since Fallout 3.

Somehow there seems to be a problem with quicksaving. Whenever I quicksave before saving before an enemy, engage an enemy, die and reload, somehow the enemy knows about me then.

A lot of other bugs though. Pathfinding of the companions seems to be bad. I was stuck in a cupboard. One quest wouldnt start till I waited 5 minutes and then it randomly started while I was travelling.

One I'm experiencing rn that's not funny or anything but my character still thinks she has an injured arm regardless of healing, etc. and her Pip-Boy doesn't even show up on her arm anymore.

I don't think I'd ever sleep again if this happened to a feral ghoul while I was playing.

Also, I posted this in another thread, but it is a glitch, so I guess this is the more appropriate thread. Pipboy glitch where the edges are covered in dust that obscures all that super unimportant information in the corners like health, item stats, AP, weight limit and such.

Preston doing some home improvement

They didn't miss it. There's something in bug testing called KS - Known Shippable. A bug that's known but low priority because it doesn't break anything. They probably just didn't get around to it. Not condoning it, but that's probably the case here.

Not had many glitches yet, but a few notable ones. One was where I couldn't continue a mission because what I needed to start it wasn't there for quite a while, and then required a save reload once it did turn up, and then culling just being plain broken in places: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VhH9diaZIA

Found a couple more areas that does it too, stuff just dissapeares at the corner of my eye.

Yep I had the exact same issue. Also managed to get the favorites menu appear and stick during an entire conversation.

I guess this isn't a glitch but the lip syncing is sooooooo bad. It's like they can't move their mouths themselves and so a pair of invisible hands are doing it for them.

My first glitch was the first deathclaw fight. I was still waiting on top of the building for him to wipe away all the enemies, then he disappeared inside a building and got stuck. His UI mark was still on the building moving inside but I could not see any part of him. So I kept shooting the door and windows until he heard me, wich was about 15 seconds. Gadly he came out to beat the shit out of me for being so close.

This and the "people stuck on tree branch while moving" are the most common ones for me.
