Fallout 76 aka Skyrim Recycled in a nutshell

20 minutes of hilarity, nonsense, sadness and bugs. The guy should get an Oscar for this masterpiece. Open your Doritos and Mountain Dew, sit back and enjoy.

Care some very enlightened people here will tells you that you are a massive hater or a butthurt about Fallout 76.

The hate for 76 is fascinating. That has to be the 10th time I've read the "Skyrim recycled" thing or something equivalent to it this weekend alone. Kinda reminds me of the NPC meme, where folks are regurgitating the same bullshit over and over without applying some actual thought. Like, if you're calling 76 a Skyrim rehash, then what the fuck is Skyrim to Fallout 3, or even Oblivion? lmao

Normally I hate this type of dog piling, but if it helps send a clear message to Bethesda that Fallout 76 was a horrible horrible direction to go in and they should NEVER EVER EVER do this again... than I'm all for it.

OMG this video is pure gold lol.

Ok, its time for Bethesda to take notice.
The poor optimization on its game is no longer tolerable or beareble.

I disagree because Skyrim was actually enjoyable.

Bethesda should just be called Skyrim Studios now, since it's the last good game they made and continue to re-release since the time of man by now. Seems like they have stalled.

Why didn't they delay the game to polish it a bit more? What's the rush to release a buggy game that will only hurt the developer/publisher image?

What really bakes my noodle is all the people I have seen schilling for F76 here on neogaf and people across the internet sticking up for this game as well as saying it's great..... I mean.... what? Did we play the same game? How can ANYONE in their right mind support a game that came out this broken, half baked and straight up pure lazy in terms of EVERYTHING. That is what really gets me is how people can even try and defend this game with a straight face.

They can't polish turd. It's using the modified engine as Oblivion and they couldn't be bothered making a new engine for the game. They wanted the money grab right away and so, this is their product. Why else did they announce Elder Scrolls 6 so soon considering they didn't even have a producer or even a team for it yet.

ESO came out after Skyrim, and ESO is really good.

Sadly I disagree. I really wanted to love ESO, but no matter how much I tried the combat just killed it for me.

I'm probably just an angry old MMO gamer, but I prefer a more traditional combat style.

ESO has impressive AI. From the way the enemies are developed to how they attack. Fallout 76 has enemies holding their guns to the ground or they're frantically trying to run to you in some odd animation. I've had this feeling since I did an event over near the airport. Fallout 76 IMO is not as polished as ESO. ESO has also been on the market longer and probably has a devoted team to just developing ESO content. Bethesda would be wise to stick a team on fixing Fallout 76.

EDIT: My only issue with ESO is that their servers out right suck on PS4. I've had more crashes on ESO for PS4 than I would like to have in a lifetime.

Todd Howard will call it an experiment that they learned a lot from and quietly sweep it under the rug while they continue work on the next buggy mess. Comparing it to Skyrim though is doing Skyrim a huge disservice.

On the one hand the only way to change this is to stop buying their games. On the other hand they'd probably just stop making Fallout games for anything but mobile if we did. You can send the message but who knows what the reply would be? :)

The thing is they could have done the online survival thing but still given us a fleshed out RPG experience. They went the Rust/Ark route and that's cool but it's not worth 60 dollars by any stretch of the imagination.

lol true. I love how its like "This is nothing like Fallout 4"

....also them "This is recycled Skyrim" lol

I just don't know how this title can be nothing like Fallout 4 , but suddenly recycled Skyrim. From what I've played, its Fallout without NPCs being alive.... Keep in mind folks, LOTS of quest in the series are given from robots, holotaps, notes and letters etc. This is simply a game where all if it is that. I've played by myself for a few hours and will have more input once I put like 10 solid hours in.

I like TerakJK channel. It isn't very popular, but all videos are on point and interesting to watch. Here another gem from this channel about "Nintendo downgrade":

Bethesda Austin's sole job is fallout 76.

Edit: Tod said it in a video, I have the game waiting on the new patch to download it's a monster. My girl friend is a fallout fiend. Good or bad I had to get it playing together has been fun. I'm curious about the content the Austin studio is making they are gonna open more vaults. That could bring npc's to the mix and maybe we can witness the birth of the factions as we knew them in 3. Settlements could be built over time in updates. They are adding faction pvp, there has to be a reason to fight for them other then audio logs. Idk I think it has potential once a few bugs are squashed. To me it's a better game then no mans sky and look at that turned out with time there is a lot of potential for something here. They can just keep adding shit hopefully more raid like monsters, I've seen the fight that triggers when you launch a nuke it's a high lvl monster but still 5 lvls bellow cap and the players fighting where 50 and lower. I don't know what that's gonna look like at lvl cap with a team decked to the gills with shit. I'm optimistic with this she is having fun and it's honestly kept me from finishing red dead. I've been itching to play. Funny story last night she stumbles into someone else's camp and they had spent a lot of time on their base. Base envy is a real thing, heard about it all day.

That's awesome you two are having fun. Thanks for the info.

I wonder how much content is going to be free and what they'll want us to buy. I want more before I start handing money over for in-game bonuses. It makes us look like we paid them to make it beta! :messenger_grinning_squinting:

This is the closest to Skyrim Fallout has ever been. I really hoped Fallout 4 would get the Skyrim treatment, but it didn't. I guess in some way 76 gives me the world to explore that F4 didn't.

Video blocked for copyright claim. Bethesda blocked it on false premises to avoid the embarrassment? Not getting this game, lol.

I just lost a LOT of respect for Bethesda over this game's launch and their horrible damage control parade... I was one of the few who still respected Bethesda even though I hated Fallout 4 and didn't think I would enjoy 76 much, but now they can rot in shit... we'll never get ES6 and if we do it will suck ass, calling it now...

It's starting to grow on me...its like a glowing fungus, but it is growing. For some reason, not having the baggage of running from NPC to NPC and trying to decide which faction to help and how to save humanity, is very liberating. I am playing this game like a straight up survival game, no more, no less. It runs shitty(especially in the first 30 seconds), isn't a looker for the most part, and has some unholy bugs but for some god damn reason, I am starting to really enjoy it. Maybe it is because it was an accidental buy?

See you in the wasteland.

They seriously flagged that shit?!
It's effective damage control.

I mean, once a video has been removed from Youtube (or some content from the Internet in general), there's absolutely no way it would be uploaded again under a different name/account, perhaps multiple times. There have been no examples of this happening ever.
