That image is about as funny as Family Guy.aparisi2274 said:So let me get this right, you are formulating an opinion on a show you never watched and you base you opinion off a 30sec promo??
Do I have that about right??

It's like you're getting crazy as time goes on. Reminds about that one time when we were all posting in a thread and suddenly people started spamming out pics of Gary Coleman doing drugs!omg rite said:Well, someone needs to point out the factual incorrectness of the thread title, no?
But really, the show has gotten a lot better from when it came back. It's funny seeing people in the Sunday night threads laughing at the show every week, then there's more people hating on it.
The show is still funny. Oh, and so is American Dad.

Gary Whitta said:Just saw a promo for Family Guy on Fox, a show I never watch because it is about as funny as coming home to discover your dog accidentally ate a chicken bone and died. But I was amused to hear this joke:
Dad character: "Do you want a Hertz Donut?"
Other character: "Yes."
(Dad punches other character in arm.)
Dad: "Hurts, don't it?"
Wow. I wonder if the writers are now simply assuming that the majority of their audience is too young to realize that they are now recycling Simpsons gags from more than a decade ago.
(And yes, I know the 'hurts don't it' thing was not originated by the Simpsons, but the fact that this tired gag was deemed promo-worthy of Fox is a perfect example of why I and everyone else I know thinks this show is drek.)

Yes, they could give several shits about it. I guess that's why it went on for so long!omg rite said:This is true. King of the Hill is terrible. But get ready for GAFfers to act like you're insane for not liking a show most of the outside would could give two shits about.

American Dad is a much better show.
I honestly stopped watching The Simpsons because it just wasn't the same Simpsons I loved years ago.trinest said:The new episodes of Family Guy are funnier than the new episodes of The Simpsons - do we have to have a different story for how marge and homer met for the billionth time?

Well, that's what I get for only clicking to page 2 and seeing that at the top of the page.omg rite said:(He was talking about you liking American Dad. Not Family Guy.)

Indeed. Many things in this thread that have been asserted about Family Guy could be applied to The Simpsons as well. What was once the best show on television is now a decayed shell of its former self. The worst thing is that there hasn't been a great episode of The Simpsons in about eight years. Put this show out of its misery before it gets even worse, please.Rewrite said:I honestly stopped watching The Simpsons because it just wasn't the same Simpsons I loved years ago.
