I actually enjoyed (and completed) Crayon shinchan - not bad, could have been better, but any game where you can stick your fingers up someones a$$ is fine by me.

It'll be interesting to see how many of those 500k SRW loving PS2 owners pick up ACE next week.

Has a From Soft. game ever sold in huge numbers? This seems like it has the potential to be From's money bank from now on as long as it doesn't turn out badly.

Looking over some charts, their highest selling games seems to be Tenchu 3 at 250k.

I don't think there'll be a new Pokemon on the GBA - I think Emerald was the last. This year's going to be pretty big for Pokemon though. New movie, GC game, DS games and PokePark in Nagoya.

So how many copies of Super Mario Bros. is that now total in Japan counting the original Famicom version, the DX GBC version, and the GBA FC version?

Is the original Super Mario Bros. still the best selling game of all time in Japan? These days we're blown away by Halo selling 6.4 million copies, but Super Mario Bros. sold something like 7-8 million copies in Japan *alone* IIRC.

According to MB's chart, Super Mario Bros sold 6.26M on Famicom. They don't have sales from the Famicom Disc System version though (so it's likely under a million) and in Japan the DX Game Boy Color release was NP download only (no dedicated print run) so it's impossible to track unless Nintendo gives out figures themselves). I'd guess 8 million total though isn't impossible.

SMBDX Did about 250k, but don't forget Allstars which also did 2.12m

Pretty amazing that there's almost 10 million versions of SMB1 in Japanese homes.
