Famitsu Sales: 2/17/20 – 2/23/20

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of February 17, 2020 to February 23, 2020.

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, the Omega Force-developed action RPG followup to Persona 5, launched at 115,995 retail sales on PlayStation 4 and 46,415 sales on Switch for an opening week total of 162,410 sales.

Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story launched at 10,654 retail sales on PlayStation 4 and 7,392 sales on Switch for a total of 18,046 opening week sales.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 41,490 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 6,215 units, and the 3DS family sold 1,025 units.

thats why Japanese company are mainly sticking to ps4/xbox, if it not made by Nintendo it wont sell.

It's rare to see a 3rd party game selling better on switch than on ps4, even if install base is bigger. Playstation is a safe place for japanese developers thanks to its worldwide reach.

Hope Atlus continues to support big playstation.

Crazy how a PS4 remaster of a PS4 game is doing so well. I loved Persona 5, but I don't feel the need to buy this version again for the same console.

Now, if they would bring it to Switch it would be a day one purchase.
