Fanmade Final Fantasy VII Remake (Unreal Engine)

Dem animations.

I'd still like a legit PS3 remake. I know all the love/hate this game gets... but it has a lot of nostalgia for me for some reason. Even though it's not my favorite FF nor my first.

This, no remake.

SE needs to focus on hiring talent to create a new story, new characters, etc. that achieves the greatness of the earlier Final Fantasy games. The crew they have today needs to be ejected into space.
 
Honestly this is the kind of project that you need to keep 100% secret. Then when it's finished all you have to do is release it to the internet and well it's hard to stop it from there.

They are totally going to get C&D'ed now.

Also, oh god everything is super stiff and why is it in a first person perspective ><
 
Man, I was waiting to see how long it took until somebody brought up that Cloud vs. Sephiroth gmod fight.

But yeah, I wonder if Square will pump out the C&D immediately or wait when the team is like 98% done or something.
 
Just stop, this is silly, you even put your "studio" name in the beginning and didn't credit the original creators so thats asking for legal trouble. Though I commend you for your time and effort learn to use the software first.

No bump maps, horrible animations, texture quality is all over the place, tifa's tits bounce around but all the other animations are stiff. Start with a smaller project before you move up to something like this.

You know perhaps this would've made sense to say.... 5-10 years ago but even people who were in kindergarten when this game came out are old enough to vote now, most of us were at least in middle school when we played it so unless you're in your 30s/40s this sentence doesn't make sense nowadays.

It makes perfect sense. There are things that young people tend to gravitate towards at a greater rate than older generations. Final Fantasy 7 is a well documented case of such a phenomenon.

For the record, 20-somethings are young people to me and people my age.

I wouldnt say that. When S-E puts their minds to really doing something right, they bring it.

FFT: War of the Lions, Tactics Ogre PSP, FFIV DS, and FFIV PSP stand to prove that.

Also for the record, I'd only take a remake of VII if they could make the script make better sense in english...similar to what they did for the two Tactics games on PSP.

We're 2 game generations separate from this game now, going on a 3rd soon. This game was released closer to the NA launch of the NES than the present day.
 
I seriously laughed when the soldier went splat on top of the wall, and did Cloud went super saiyan during the battle?

The online pass is going to allow for full jiggle physics. The second half of the game is going to come out 2 years later. 2 year cycle!
 
All the whining about some random dudes making FF7 stuff.

Imagine the outrage if SE did a real remake. X is too much, Y is not good, Z wasn't like that on the ps1.

FF7 is still playable today and some things are better left in the past, where they belong.

I'd never heard this and google only spits back results regarding people crying for giant tits in Advent Children...

Did the original just not have those scenes, or was her model different?
 
That scene wasn't in the original game, and was added in the US version/International release, among other small additions/tweaks.

Are people really going to go in an uproar if Tifa is rendered with a more realistic (or at least AC-level) design in the remake? Is there some underground demand that she have the biggest pair in FF history?

Did Lulu not do it for anyone?

I was impressed by the trailer until the first "battle" happened. The animations look bad and it seems they don't even have a battle system coded in yet. This will be killed by SE even before they understand the way to code it and make it work.

It did look good for something made by fans and not professionals until that point.
