OH MY GOD

In reality, Tokyo Drift is quickly getting nominated to non-canon status.

With each passing movie, Tokyo Drift becomes more amazing. It will either end up dealing with time travel, or a bunch of gangsters who think it's "retro cool" to race in cars from '06.

Alternate car universe! The cars somehow end up in an alternate universe where they drift.

Is this the final installment or is there another one? I remember a rumor about the last 2 being filmed back to back?

There is another one coming after this. And then 5 more after this one makes another ka-billion at the BO.

What about cloning / identity theft / lost twin? ;)

I like Tokyo Drift, but ignoring it is the right move. Han is a great character.

The plane crashing down looks like its a practical effect compared to the rest of the scene in that trailer.

I'm pumped!

People should see Fast Five, before bashing it. They changed the formula, no more car chases just because, it was a heist movie!

Here's another gif because that part is so good. This is the one big dumb franchise I'm willing to give my money to if it's as good as Fast Five.

So the last one I saw was Tokyo Drift. It seems as though with each new iteration it becomes more of an action movie than a movie about racing.

Fast 5 is one of the best action movies of the 2000's fo serious. I hate all the other FF movies but F5 is stellar. This looks awesome as well.

It was decided around 4/5 they would transition it to a heist+action franchise centering around car culture. They still all have race portions in them though, I don't think that's going to change soon. They just wanted to raise the stakes and change the environments rather than them being the same dudes running the streets for 6 movies in a row.

Fast Five (2011)

That looks fun! This is the kind of pop-corn summer flicks I enjoy.

And I hope they do a sorta-sequal to Tokyo Drift in Fast Seven. Tokyo is still my favorite.

They could explain that Han came back from death the same way Michelle Rodriguez's charecter did. They were taken to a lab and replicated.

Fast & Furious 7: Clone Saga

As amazing as that sounds, I'm on a Fast and Furious black out again for the new film. This short trailer was more than enough to last me 'till the film's premiere. Want to save some surprise for opening premiere.

Ignoring Tokyo Drift is undoubtedly the best way to go. Even if they return to Tokyo, it should have none of the cast from Tokyo Drift, which are what made the movie as bad as it is. The actual car parts and the action scenes are not that bad, it's just the lead was horrible and all the supporting roles were too, outside of Han.

Actually I would welcome them doing F&F7 in Tokyo if they do not touch on anything that was in Tokyo Drift. It will solidify even further that the movie is not canon and should be disregarded in the grand scheme of things.

I honestly hope they never address it. Just keep everyone guessing.
