Fastest you've uninstalled or completely abandoned a game?

Heavy rain

When i got really irritated crawling around in the tunnel with shattered glass

Ughhhh i was enjoying the game up until that point and haven't played it since

That's actually the face I made, why would you think Hotline Miami is trash? And what other hyped indie games?

I was kind of hoping this thread would provide more reasons other than 'It sucked, first 5 minutes were boring' but that's almost every reply :/

Honestly, I feel like you are lying or played the wrong class but mainly you are making shit up.

The only thing Dragon Dogma did extremely well is the combat, is is actually the best combat for a RPG. IF you were expecting DMC, then you should have stuck with DMC because DMC is purely an action game, while DD is an action RPG.

Oh well, I guess some people have bad taste. ;)

Beyond you being a snob, I was one of the first in the thread when the OT went up, I was one of the ones who was following the game all because of the director.

As far as what I expected, I didn't expect DMC. I expected an enjoyable combat system and Dragon's Dogma was not it, nor was it best combat for an RPG in my mind.

Maybe Resident Evil 5 and Dishonored, this last one it's said to be a good game, I couldn't go on with the story though.
Controls and movement in RE on PC are ugghhh...that and being so action packed, killed the whole franchise.
Dishonored's story is absolute tripe, but it's a fun, creative murder simulator. I didn't play it as a stealth game, I thought it was more fun to just play it as a straight action game with all the cool abilities.

Bioshock Infinite's story + Dishonored's gameplay would have pretty much been the best thing ever.

The original Crysis on Steam. I managed to get the 64 bit workaround to work after trying several fixes to even get the damn thing to work, played through a few excruciating hours of it. It was pretty, but I don't know. It seemed clunky, had odd difficulty spikes, what have you. I wasn't really that into it despite how much I wanted to like the title. Then when I loaded it up the next day, the 64 bit workaround was no longer functioning for some mysterious reason. I decided it wasn't worth all the hassle for a game that was failing to grab me, and uninstalled it with less than two hours played.

I usually like to give games more of a chance than that, but I just couldn't bring myself to slog through another fix when the game itself was giving me a headache.

MGS2 the Vita port. I was screwing around, trying to figure out what the controls were, and I accidentally agroed the first enemy. He killed me. After, I decided to turn off the game. Honestly, I think I would really like it if I gave it another chance (and maybe get a home console port of it instead) but I haven't yet.

Call of Duty: Ghosts. Jesus, what a piece of shit.

This.

Saints Row (any) for me. I literally played for 5 minutes and wanted to break the disc. I can't believe there's a huge following for it.. Probably mostly people who hate GTA.

Saints row player movement, driving, physics, art.. All suck IMO and I'll never buy another SR game.

Fable 3 IMO was a huge disappointment from 2. I stopped after a day.

And of course homefront. Unfortunately I finished the fucking game :-/

Guild Wars 2. I got it day 1 and it was barely playable yet so I gave it a few days which turned to a few weeks then however long the game has been out. Part of me wasn't ready to commit to an MMO again.

X-Com Declassified: The Bureau.

Lasted like 10 minutes. Aiming was really, really bad and it had some "tactical, squad based" elements thrown in there to loosely connect it.

COD Ghosts complete trash

Need for Speed Rivals played 30 minutes never touched it again.

Resident Evil 5 lasted maybe 10 minutes just couldn't get into it.

Quite a few for technical issues:
X3:Terran Conflict- Booted the game up, was hit with the worst interface I've ever seen and a ridiculous amount of keybindings, quickly uninstalled. I'm not even a huge fan of the genre, the only game I've liked was Freespace 2.
M&M X: The game came out, I booted it up, the game didn't support my native resolution even after tweaking, so I uninstalled. They patched it in, so I do intend to go back to this one.
Soulbringer: Bought this one off GOG, found out the game only loads in at 800x600, and if you try to force a larger resolution get stuck with unreadable text in a 100 hour RPG. Yeah, that one went away quick too.
Ultima 7: The view in the game made me physically sick so I had to uninstall it.

Now games that I put down for gameplay reasons:
-Unepic:I don't get this one. The gameplay is solid, but the writing is cringeworthy and the jokes are god awful. So glad this was a gift from someone else.
XCOM (old one): I was rolled and turned it off, I'm bad at strategy games.
Eshcalon Book's 1 and 2: I don't mind retro games because those can be fun. The key to a good retro game is pulling things from the older games that was fun. This game does the opposite, it pulls every bad trope from late 80's/early 90's RPGs and puts it into a terrible package.
Spiderweb Software games: With the execption of the Geneforge games, I can't play more then 5 minutes of a Jeff Vogel game. The writing is bad, the inventory system drives me nuts, the combat has WAY too much trash, and the character movement has always been awkward.
-Chrono Trigger: Bought this one because of JRPG GAF hype. The story was a neat idea, the characters were cool, and I liked the music. What really got me was the gameplay, it was great that they put the enemies on the map, but the battles really need a semblance of challenge. Put it down after like 5 hours, may give it a go again someday.

Saints Row (any) for me. I literally played for 5 minutes and wanted to break the disc. I can't believe there's a huge following for it.. Probably mostly people who hate GTA.

Saints row player movement, driving, physics, art.. All suck IMO and I'll never buy another SR game.

Saints Row 2 is the best sandbox crime game of all time. Sucks that you can't see what I see in it.

Max Payne 3. One hour. I wasn't short on storage. Considering how long it took to download in the first place, eradicating it from my drive and writing it off as a sunk cost was a satisfying and cathartic expression of disgust. I acquired it for a few dollars on Steam and for all the mediocrities I have obtained from sales and bundles this was the first time I had ever wanted my money back.

I've abandoned other games in less time and left them installed as I wasn't opposed to trying them again someday in the future if sufficiently bored.

Most recently, Mercenary Kings. I just did not like how it controlled, which simply killed my enjoyment after around 10 minutes or so.

Ni No Kuni - I just couldn't care about the story and found the combat clunky so I had to stop. It was the first game I didn't care to try and finish...then came

Bioshock Infinite - Fastest uninstall ever as the first few combat areas showed how terrible the controls were.

The movie tie-in game for X-Men 3, I think I got to the very first enemy encounter and quit when their bullets, if I recall correctly, basically held me back from attacking them. Took the game out of the console, immediately brought it back to the rental store.

So many forgettable browser mmos. Log in, make a dude, do the intro "quests" realize it's a city building bullshit fest full of energy, meters, multiple currencies and convoluted mechanics and close the tab all in the span of like 5-10 mins.

Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition demo for the 360. I literally hit a point in the demo where no matter what I did, I could not progress after 5 minutes. Origins left a bad taste in my mouth, Blackgate just cemented my disdain for the projects

Mercenary Kings is what you get when you smash a bunch of great ideas and inspirations together and forget to make them fun.

Agreed, it was about as enjoyable as eating paste for me. The jump feels bad. How can you get a jump wrong in a 2D platformer?

Skyrim. Gave up on it before I even touched the controller. My friend came over, and I told him that I just bought it, and that he was welcome to play it. He started it, created a character, something happened, he went through a cave, ends up in some water, and I think, "I'm never going to play this."

Traded it in the next day.

I had just gotten Dark Souls at the time, and it was so good that even two days into it, every other game seemed lame by comparison.

Both Terraria and King Arthur - opened the control menu. Saw dozens of commands on keyboard. Realized I couldn't learn it until a less stressful year comes around, if that ever happens. Put on hold.

Greed Corp - played enough to realize it was a scifi diablo clone. Cool, but needed to unlock all cool power moves. Didn't unlock one in five minutes. Put aside for later.

SpaceChem - failed the tutorial. Have no idea what I'm doing. Will try again if I feel smart.

Tron on xbox - did something weird during tutorial to see if I could die. I could, and I didn't respawn. In the tutorial. Which hadn't saved. Sold it.

When MvC3 cane out and I played it online the first time and I saw that I couldn't observe matches. Felt like I wasted money. Was reassured I did when they announced ultimate.

Hearthstone for me. A friend was getting into and told me to check it out. Gave it a download and was instantly turned off by the voice acting and artstyle. The forced tutorial didn't really help as I just wanted to jump in and face my friend. Uninstalled after like the second tutorial opponent.

Played Ryse for maybe 2 minutes. Some of the most mundane gameplay I've ever experienced. Sent it right back to Gamefly the next day.

DMC: Devil May Cry for me. I beat the first boss and the CS were just too much. Almost uninstalled after the beginning cs but I gave it the benefit of the doubt but still uninstalled.
