Fastest you've uninstalled or completely abandoned a game?

The last Army of Two game. That generic pos was installed and deleted within 2 hours.

Followed by BF4. That broken crapfest took me all but 24 hours to delete. Never regretted it.

And people ask me why I no longer buy EA games.

Also Pikman 3, and Pokemon XY held my attention for about 2 days. They are still on the HDD but I know I will never play them again.

COD taught me something I keep forgetting, and that's to be very carefull with massive AAA games that sells millions. Yeah sure they sell millions, but they are not for everyone.

BF4 on PS3. It was a gift. I'd heard about the constant crashes and how it could even damage your PS3. So I waited for a fix. Fix hadn't happened yet like 4 months later, so I just sold it.

Edit: Crap like this is why I don't buy EA and why I can't get excited for Battlefront 3.

I have rented many a game last gen from Gamefly and within 10 minutes I took it out and mailed it back.
That's what I use Gamefly for though. Lots of games that are 'iffy'. Most end up crap, but found a few gems that I played fully or bought.

Skyrim. Lasted 40 minutes. I was fighting an enemy, strafed to the side, walked into a wooden box, and the box drained all of my health.

I stopped playing the game immediately.

I think you just got wrecked and blamed the box.

It's okay. Your secret is safe with us.

Minecraft for me ... some confusing shit that was!

Good ol' F Holding Simulator. Definitely regret buying that during the summer sale.

Agreed with the first part. It's fun initially with friends but I just get sick of it because it's basically the same thing every time and everything fails. There's really no interesting way the game keeps you occupied.

For vita, Mine would be LBP vita. Couldn't be bothered slogging through the tutorials etc was boring and slow. MNR had me doing a race before I uninstalled. Everything felt bad. The UI, menus and gameplay. Malicious rebirth been the most recent one. I really don't get what's happening at all in that game.

For PC, there's been Starcraft 2 which had a terrible SP, couldn't finish the first part of black ops and just quit. Boderlands was atrocious. Total war empires never worked along with AC2 properly. UT3 where it just felt so different from UT and didn't like it so after the first few matches, I uninstalled and went back to playing 98.There's plenty of other games I can't think of right now.

For Nintendo, it's not really uninstalling but just never played again and that's Pokemon Black used to love playing Pokemon but I feel like these games don't catch my attention anymore.

Guild Wars 2 beta; knew well before anyone said anything. Bought it because of friends and then I let it sit. The first.$60 MMO I will ever buy and forget ever existed. I even unsubscribed to their e-mail. They can take the $60 and go away. No offense to those who like. I don't like it, I never liked it, and I will never change my mind. I like other game worlds other than this MMO.

If a game sucks, I mean really sucks, I have no problem throwing it in the trash. It's offensive to me just as it is to anyone who enjoys it.

Ha, this happens to me too. I invested quite a bit of time into guild wars beta 2 . Didn't catch my interest and didn't feel anything special about it. Ended up buying it but couldn't be stuffed playing and never touched it again. The Half dynamic fights really felt like they did not work at all and quite boring story and grinding as well.

Kingdom Hearts - didn't felt connected to the story and thought it was boring. Turned it off after beating Leon.

Demon's Souls - never got the appeal of the game, left after killing the tutorial boss.

But the fastest should be Battlefield 3, I think. I installed it after getting it on the humble bundle sale, played one match I think and uninstalled right after. So much sunlight that I thought I got a tan after playing it.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.
I pre-ordered it on Steam, played it for about 2 hours and never launched it again. That game dissapointed me so badly, especially since I adored the first one and was super excited for the sequel. Maybe one day I'll give it another shot.

Don't Starve.

Tried my best to understand and play it.

Never liked it at all.

Same here.

I hate to admit it, but I often try out the free indie games on PS+ and abandon them pretty swiftly unless they captivate me from the off.

When I've paid full retail for a game, I am much more patient and willing to give them more of a chance to get their hooks into me. When a game is free, unless it grabs my attention pretty quickly, I often just ditch it.

I get that I'm probably missing out on some great slow-burners, but I don't always have the free time to invest to see if a game will eventually win me over.

Thief PS4.

I was so starved for PS4 content I broke down and bought it. Played the first level it. then immediately uninstalled and it and returned it.

Sooo many games fit this description. I think Skyrim, Just Cause 1/2, Mafia II, Metro 2033...an so on. It is due to the steam summer sale. I keep clicking on those deals. I'm buying all those "good" games. The moment I entered Skyrim I thought: "Why would anyone prefer this to Demon Souls, Dark Souls?" Soooo clunky mechanics I can't believe people still like playing those games.

TitanFall PC - played about 6 hours, finished both campaigns, didn't dislike it but had no urge to ever play it again, compounded by the obscene install size.

I normally give games a fair shake, and will play them for a while or completely if there is an element to them that I enjoy.

So I was streaming and just playing some game from the internet going into blind experiences of experiencing with no knowledge ahead of time. And so I got to this game called Hanakanmuri.

It look cute, simple, but it was hard as ever-living hell, even in the earlier levels, partially because of how ineffective our character is at doing everything. From jumping, running, killing, swimming... She died a lot.

And that'd be fine, by itself. I don't mind difficult games. Really.

But I would of kept going, and everything was pretty cute...

Until...

I suddenly was eaten by a tree.

And suddenly...

At that point I had a bad feeling where this was going, so just closed the game on stream right then and there. And it's probably good I did, I don't mind some questionable stuff in games but I wasn't expecting a guro hentai game, and as I've found out since, the picture I posted was the most tame scene like that in the game, it was only going to get a lot worse.

Jak 2
Downloaded the collection from ps+ and enjoyed Jan and Daxter but Jak 2...what a horrible game. stopped playing after 1 or 2 houra

Demon's Souls
Died twice during the first level and thought that I wasn't made for this game. But because so many people are praising it I recently got it on sale for 4,99.

Infinite Crisis Beta

I thought combining 2 things I enjoy, MOBAs and comic book characters, was a stroke of genius. Unfortunately it just feels so clunky, not to mention it ran like garbage even on the lowest settings on a pretty decent machine. Uninstalled it after my first game online.

Electroplankton. Nintendo charging full price for this piece of wank. Only 20 minutes with it only to run back to shop and trade it in for another game. I still don't get how that game came out a year after Japan. It's not like there was any translation of new voice over work to be done.

Dota 2.

I started a game with bots just to try it out. My team somehow lost in two seconds (not an exaggeration) and that was all she wrote.

I think the only game I've ever abandoned in less than an hour was Skyrim. Hot garbage imo.

Don't Starve.

Tried my best to understand and play it.

Never liked it at all.

I was willing to give Terraria a few hours to "click" (and I'm glad I did, as Terraria is an amazing game), but Don't Starve did nothing to make anything click together. Playing the game felt totally pointless.

Demons Souls, returned it the same day.

I started playing it again when it became free on PS+, still cant get past the first stage...

resident evil six comes to mind right away

Trying to think of one and this is directly it.

No other game comes close to the disappointment and utter 'Nope, I aint playing this piece of shit.' than this behemoth.

Other games that get an honourable mention would be Secret of Mana (I loved Seiken Densetsu 3 but couldn't go back to its previous iteration + its graphics), the Killzone games' campaigns (loved their online/multiplayer though) + Minecraft (because of the whole, no real objective to the game. Which is weird since I loved Lego as a kid and still like putting them together for my nephews.)

Saints Row: The Third. Steam shows that I stopped playing that 66 minutes in. I don't recall liking anything in it. The humour seemed either juvenile or extremely self-referential. None of the mechanics were fun. I just stopped playing.

Yea same here. Hated that game

Some others:
Dark messiah might and magic
Red faction Armageddon
Splinter cell double agent

Played it for something like 8h, and then just stopped. People keep saying that "it's just fun! Unlike GTA!", but I don't get where the fun is in it.

*Juvenile humour, with characters you couldn't care less about.
*The combat is ok, but really nothing special.
*Mission's aren't that great. Can't really remember any standout moment from the 8h.
*Driving is really bad.
*The gameworld doesn't really react to anything you do.

It's not especially bad at anything, but neither does it excel at anything, so I can't really understand why people rate it. With the prices it goes for today, it might be worth the money, but does anyone really need more games just for the sake of it?

Dust "An Elysian Tale". I played it for likely ten minutes and then I uninstalled. If possible, I would go as far as remove it from my Steam library.

Why? For the same reason I uninstalled Darksiders just as fast. Awful gameplay + cringe worthy art style.

I got bored after 30 mins of Sleeping Dog. Thank god i bought that game on Steam when it was like 3 or 4$.

Latest for me would be WarFace, played half of the first mission , got bored and uninstalled it. It's the definition of a generic, by the numbers shooter.

Killzone ShadowFall Demo: Loaded it, and got into a map with two other players. Died once and I jumped pressed the PS button and uninstalled it directly. Didn't even have to close the game.

Should have been Demons souls. Had a free month of ps+, installed it, but barley played it. I bought it a while back and was frustrated and stressed out the whole playthrough.

Now I'm playing Dark Souls and I'm angry, frustrated and stressed out all the time. Dunno what to do with that game.

Probably because they managed to get through the tutorial.

Edit: For those interested in Witcher 2 and couldn't get into it the first time, or for people looking for a refreshing second playthrough, I highly suggest the Combat Rebalance Mod 2. It is a mod made by a CD Project dev, in an unofficial capacity, that changes how combat works, rebalances loot, experience, skills, all kinds of things.

Saving this for later use
