Favorite Christmas Gaming Memories

Livingskeletons

If I pulled that off, would you die?
What are your favorite gaming memories during Christmas? It could be playing games or getting games you were hyped for etc.

In my family we usually open our stockings last, and back in 2000 9 year old me had asked for Pokemon Gold.
After seemingly not getting it, my bummed out self proceeded to open my stocking. At the bottom of my stocking was Pokemon Gold. My brother also got Pokemon Silver in his. We cheered in unison like maniacs.

Good times.

Pretty much this:

One was when I got Donkey Kong 64.
So exciting, I remember getting stuck an hour or so in, and needing to ring my friend on xmas day.. who'd had the game for a few days to ask for help.

Also Dbz budokai 2 on the gamecube.
I just remember popping that bad boy in and playing it a lot that night. Good times.

By far OoT. Granted I was already like 15, but that Xmas went down as the best. Such fantastic memories of just playing it all day with my sister.

Getting DKC and DKC2 for the SNES are probably right behind that, though.

Sneaking downstairs early Christmas morning and finding what I figured was the Sega CD and games, bringing them back up to my room and unwrapping them and playing and beating Sonic CD. Afterwards, I carefully wrapped them back up, brought them back downstairs and pretended to be surprised when I eventually opened them back up.

It was the most adrenaline fueled gaming session of my entire life.

ohhh this brings back memories. i was working at 30 Rockefeller center and it was Christmas Eve,

gamestop (EBX at the time) sold me an N64 when it was long sold out launch year. He told me he was holding it for a friend but decided he didn't need it. i gave it to my brother as a gift. Merry Christmas!!!

When I was really young I wanted Dr. Mario so bad that I would dream about it at night and draw pictures of it during the day. Don't know what it was about that game that made me want it so bad. But, on Christmas Day my parents had wrapped it in some giant oven box or something, so when I opened it up I was completely surprised.

Getting a PS2 in 2002. It was a sleek, shiny box full of dreams and magic. At the time, compared to the PS1, it was definitely The Future. (and it helps I got Ratchet & Clank with it)

Christmas 2011. Skyward Sword limited edition (the one with the gold Wii remote+) and a new sensor bar. The next two months were pure gaming bliss.
