so.good.

cash only. open late fri/sat. they pan fry all of the chicken, so it takes a long time to get your order. heat levels are pretty intense. chicken is always moist and delicious.

Fuck that looks so good. I'm from Pittsburgh but went to TSU for 2 1/2 yrs before coming back home and damn I missed so many great food spots in Nashville cause I was a broke college student.

One of the times I was in St. Paul, MN I fell for Mickey's Diner, since it was within walking distance of where I was.

Nice pancakes. Not as good looking as OPs, but they were still good, and the ambiance couldn't be beat.

Song good places in Bryan/College Station, TX
Hebert-s-Cajun-Cuisine_large.jpg

This place has amazing cajun food.... up there with the best of the New Orleans places I've been to.

This place has the most amazing sausage I have ever had.... It's in the middle of nowhere in a small town outside temple, tx but if I am within 50 miles of that place I will make a sidetrip.

Dickey Dee's is an italian hot dog place located in newark NJ. Ive been eating there for over a decade and make trips whenever i go back to NJ to visit.

Isn't that where Charlie Conway mom works in "The Mighty Ducks"

Not quite perfect as it's a Jewish Deli, but it is a shitty looking building in a really shitty part of Milwaukee.

That corned beef though, soooooo good.

Weaver D's in Athens, GA.

Wow dude! I just came in here to post the Old House, just down the road, but seeing Weaver D's is pretty bangin. Chicken plate is heaven with two sides...

Old House, which is technically in Statham:

Buffet style home cooked food, cash only. Literally cooked by a bunch of little old grandmas and may be the best damn food you'll ever have. Their Brunswick Stew is absolutely perfect, I literally could eat that stuff every day for the rest of my life (except I don't live in GA anymore...)

I have been to SATCO. The one by Vanderbilt has literally some of the hottest girls I have ever seen and they are always there. The food there is pretty good too, if not a tad expensive.

I thought the prices were fairly reasonable but it's been a couple years since I've been there. Remember everything being really good though, for what it is.

Nicks Roast Beef. They have a rather extensive menu. Roast Beef, Roast Pork, Ham, Broccoli Rabe sandwiches. With or Without cheese. Embrace it

I moved about 5 years ago to a few blocks away. My local bar now, love the place.

When i have a craving for a cheeseburger, the best you can get...

Both of these places are in the Philadelphia suburbs

Duff's in Amherst, NY - probably the best chicken wings I've ever tasted:

Also I'm pretty partial to the local restaurant, The Good Steer, in Lake Grove, NY. It's been an institution on LI for the past 50 or so years, with decor that recalls the 70's/80's... a bit pricey but I love their bbq pulled chicken sandwich and their thin onion strings they put on everything.

Almost don't want to give this place up, but...

My favorite hole in the wall in Honolulu, HI...Ray's Cafe, on King St. in Kalihi.

It's not in the best neighborhood and parking can be a problem. Also, the hours are kinda erratic - Ray's is open when they decide to open, but they are usually open for breakfast/lunch/early dinner (they'll usually close around 7-8pm). It's also a tiny restaurant, maybe 5-6 tables for 4 in the entire place, so don't come here with 10 friends or anything.

On weekends he has the most ridiculous prime rib - it's inexpensive and it's HUGE.

The biggest problem I have there is that whatever you order, you'll see what other people ordered come out of the kitchen and you'll feel some regret, no matter how good your food ends up being because everything here is good...

Here's their take on the Zippy's (a Hawaiian chain of family restaurants) Zip-Pac bento - rice, mahi mahi, a slice of spam, teri beef, and fried chicken:

Pork chops. Yes, you get two massive pork chops...

Can't remember exactly, but I think this was mahi mahi...

Mannnn, I definitely need to know about more places here. Only lived in Nashville for about a 2 years but I still don't know about many places. Definitely going to check this place out.
