I've only played it for maybe a hour or so, but it ran and played great. I'm holding off for the actual release now, but I'm stoked. It really feels like it nails the original UT's vibe.

Guys you're all reminiscing like UT don't exist anymore but it does. Download the modern Unreal Tournement for free it feels exactly how it should but with great graphics.

Currently still in alpha but there is a sizeable amount of content atm.

Its great that they are making this...but right now the movement speed is too slow.

UT04 and it's not even close. Best arena shooter in existence. Shame what they did with 08. Just didn't feel right.

UT '99, no question. That game was amazing back in the day, and for my money, was hands-down better than Q3A.

UT2K3 and 2K4 were the ones that were big when my mates and I were starting to host LANs. Lots of great times were had.

I spent the most time with UT '99 and a little mod for it called Tactic Ops. But UT 2003.2004 comes in at a close second.

Facing Worlds, Deck16, Morpheus, Hall of Giants.
The original hands down. 2004 was a decent follow up but it started to get too far away from the televised nature of the show. Something I wish would take a bigger role in the current/future titles. Something like a WWE No Mercy career mode.
