I will admit there are more memorable soundtracks that stand better on their own without the game. BUt this games soundtrack worked so well with the gameplay it was absolutely fantastic. Normally to me in a game i tend to completely ignore the music even if its good. Only a few games has had me think during the first play through "wow this music is awesome for this game"... This being one. Metal Gear Solid series is another. Katamari for its quirkiness as well.

Some soundtracks that I feel kick major ass (some that I feel are quite under appreciated aswell):

. Yes, I think it's better than SM's soundtrack. Get over it : P

. What a fucking soundtrack man, some of the most well written and harmonically rich compositions I've ever heard. Really worth checking out if you haven't already.

. RE-TARDED. Just bizarre and campy but it actually works.....I just can't believe it's for a mech game.
