well... they oversaw this one, didn't make it entirely themselves, and they're working on a sequel independantly of vivendi right now (IE it might come out via a different publisher without the F.E.A.R. name which VU own).Funky Papa said:

were a pain to deal with, even with the new
. The demo ran fine on my rig (P4 2.8 with 2gig ram & 6800gt), but it didn't recognize my n52 speedpad right-got that to work after a bit of fussin' with it. And this demo is just like the demo for the original game-bits of different levels spliced together to make a big demo level. I think I spent about 15-20 minutes playing it, but I play cautiously.

it was okay i guess but nowhere near as good as the first F.E.A.R. demo.
level design wasn't up to the same standard either. the demo level feels like Condemned's subway station done by less talented people.

I finally played the demo and it does feel like a cheap mod. Very underwhelming. However, that minigun is ****ing bitchin', maybe the best I've ever seen. Two seconds of sustained fire can deliver some epic asskicking.

Changing resolution though cfg file doesn't work even when it is set to read only.

There is another problem with this expansion. if you change any settings, you'll get low fps, then you have to relaunch the game

I didn't realise how new EchoPatch is - 2 months. People are talking about how old this thread is, but we're getting comprehensive fully featured patches 19 years after release. This is why I love PC.

I'm completely okay necrobumping a thread about FEAR. Extraction Point was great, too. There's probably mods, if that's your jam, but the game only ever supported 4:3. Even the original game, though - which did get patched to work in widescreen - only works properly in 4:3. Widescreen fucks up the POV. It was from that weird transition period where widescreen was suddenly a thing.
